Join quilters in 2020
RONAN — The Mission Mountain Quilt Guild will hold their regular meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 7, at 6:30 p.m. at the Terrace Lake Community Church. Refreshments will be provided. Be sure to bring your show and tell items. The first class for the new year will be on Saturday, Jan. 18, for those of you that have signed up. Start a New Year’s resolution with a creative hobby and come be a part of the guild or just stop by and see what we have to offer and join the fun.

Adult coloring program goes ‘South of the Border’
POLSON — On Thursday, Jan. 9, 2020, from 2-3:30 p.m., the North Lake County Public library will offer an adult coloring program entitled, “South of the Border.” The holidays are over and everyone is ready to head south for some sunshine and warmer temperatures. Let’s make our own heat right here in the library and have some fun with an activity full of vibrant color, Latin rhythm and spicy snacks. We provide the coloring supplies or you may bring your own. Cha-cha-cha!
Free workshop offered to farmers, ranchers
RONAN — A free workshop regarding the USDA Rural Development Value Added Producer Grants will be held on Thursday, Jan. 9, from 9 a.m.-noon at the LCCDC office, 407 Main St SW. The USDA Value Added Producer Grant Program assists farmers and ranchers in the development of value-added products. Learn more about the program and how it can help you finance your value-added products. Grants and matching funds can be used for planning activities or expenses related to producing and marketing a value-added agricultural product. Producer grants workshop held

Fun movement to music planned at library
POLSON — “Movin’ to the Music” will take place on Wednesday, Jan. 15, from 5-6 p.m. at the North Lake County Public Library. The holidays are over, winter is truly here and you know you need to move your body … is there any way to make this fun? We here at the library think so. We invite you to join us premiering a new kind of program called “Movin’ to the Music.” Drawing inspiration from a variety of sources, this multi-generational family-friendly hour of movement will explore several ways of incorporating gentle movement and music. It’s colorful. It’s rhythmic. It’s what January needs. Wear comfy shoes.
Join the fun, come dance
POLSON — Please join us for the community dance at the Elks on Wednesday, Jan. 15, from 7-10 p.m. in the ballroom. Music is provided by Ken’s Country Combo playing a variety of country and vintage rock and roll. This is our birthday dance where we celebrate birthdays for this month complete with a birthday cake. POLSON — Lake County Commissioner Bill Barron will speak at the next Kiwanis Club meeting at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 16, at the KwaTaqNuk. Barron will give an update on the current affairs in Lake County.

CHARLO — The annual Black Tie Dinner is held to support Ninepipes Museum of Early Montana. The event will be held on Jan. 16, 2020. Award winning author Bryce Andrews will be the guest speaker. POLSON — Mission Valley Live brings The Ringling 5, singing ranchers and farmers, to perform at the Polson High School auditorium on Friday, Jan. 17, at 7 p.m. This group tells the story of the modern-day West through songs the whole family can enjoy. Tickets are $15 and may be purchased in Ronan at R&R Health Care Plus and True Value Hardware and in Polson at 1st Interstate Bank and the Perfect Shot Tavern.
