Montana artists' show at Hangin' Art Gallery through Oct. 24
ARLEE — Karen Goulet, director of the Salish Kootenai Art Department, will be the featured artist at the Killdeer Artisans’ Guild summer show. The show presents new works from Montana artists at Hangin’ Art Gallery in Arlee. The show will remain up until Oct. 24.
Attend driver safety class at Yellow Bay

Charlo offers flu shots
CHARLO — The Lake County Public Health Department will be offering flu shots to the public at Charlo Senior Center on Thursday, Oct. 23, from 1-2 p.m. The cost is $25. Seniors, please remember to bring your Medicare Part B coverage cards as that will pay for your flu shot.
You may also get your flu shot at our walk-in immunization clinic held every Tuesday afternoon from 1-4 p.m. or you may call and schedule an appointment. The Lake County Public Health Department is located at 802 Main Street in Polson. Call (406) 883-7288, with your questions.
Dinner to serve Swedish meatballs
POLSON — The Good Shepherd Lutheran Church will hold its annual Harvest Dinner of Swedish meatballs, potatoes, gravy, lefse, salad and dessert from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 23, in the church fellowship hall. The cost for the dinner is $10 per adult, $4 per child under 10 years. Fair Trade coffee will also be available for purchase. Dinner proceeds will benefit local Helping Hands and Cheerful Heart organizations.
Learn about Martin Luther’s life, legacy
RONAN — Pastor Seth Nelson of Faith Lutheran Church will offer a free, three-week course entitled “Martin Luther and his Legacy.” The course will cover the history of Martin Luther’s life and work and the reformation movement, which he started. The courses will be held on Thursday evenings at 7 p.m. in the basement, (Fellowship Hall), of Faith Lutheran Church on Oct. 9, 16 and 23. These courses are free to the public and all are welcome. Learn how to spot fraud
POLSON — Learn how to protect yourself from fraud and gain financial protection on Thursday, Oct. 23, from 4:30-7:30 p.m.at the KwaTaqNuk. Both tribal and non-tribal people have been scammed by fraudulent organizations promising quick-fix solutions. The Finance Program in the Salish and Kootenai Housing Authority is partnering with state and federal agencies to educate our entire community with a free training. This training will educate folks on how to spot/detect fraud/scams and what to do or who to contact if you feel you’ve been a victim. Polson harvest dinner planned
POLSON — A harvest community dinner will be held on Thursday, Oct. 23, from 6-7 p.m. at the Fellowship Baptist Church, 2 Seventh Ave. E. There will be a chicken dinner and salad served. An inspiration film will be shown after dinner and will be followed with dessert and coffee. All are welcome.
