Waterfowl Wednesdays’ through Oct. 30
SOMERS — Join Jake Bramante from the Flathead Audubon Society for “Waterfowl Wednesdays” from 4-5:30 p.m. through the month of October. You will learn how to identify various waterfowl in our area. The group will meet at the Park and Ride at the corner of U.S. Highway 93 and U.S. Highway 82 every Wednesday from 4-5:30 p.m. through the month of October (weather permitting). The Park and Ride is located right next to the split pond near Somers and allows for easy watching of waterfowl. Bring your binoculars and/or a spotting scope if you have one. Enjoy Swedish dinner, support Polson Senior Center
POLSON — The Good Shepherd Lutheran Church will hold its 49th annual Harvest Dinner of Swedish meatballs, potatoes, gravy, homemade lefse, salad and dessert from 4-6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 24, in the church fellowship hall. The cost of dinner is $10 per adult and $5 per child under 12 years. Call ahead to place take-out orders at 406- 883-5864. Dinners will be available for pickup after 3 p.m. It is the desire of Good Shepherd to keep prices reasonable because this dinner is a mission/outreach of our community so donations are always welcome. Two versions of haunted house offered
RONAN —Thespian Troupe 8746 proudly announces their haunted house fundraiser on Oct. 25 and 26 at the Ronan Performing Arts Center. Entrance at the side door by the playground (there will be signs). From 5-6:45 p.m. there will be a “lights on” haunted house, without jump scares. From 7-10 p.m. there will be the scarier “lights off ” version of the haunted house. Prices are $3 per person for the “lights on” version and $4 per person for the “lights off ” version. Proceeds go to help our acting troupe travel and compete. at the Montana Thespian Festival in February.

Quilters hold ‘Sew Day’ for 2020 quilt show
RONAN — The Mission Mountain Quilt Guild will hold their “Sew Day” for the 2020 quilt show on Saturday, Oct. 26, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. in Ronan at the Terrace Lake Community Church. Be sure to bring a sack lunch. The November block of the month is the easy Hunter Star by the Missouri Star Quilt company with one change. POLSON — An annual fall bazaar and luncheon is being held at the First United Methodist Church, 301 Sixteenth Ave. E, on Friday, Nov. 1. Art, homemade crafts and bake goods will be sold from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. There will be soup, sandwiches and an apple dumpling with ice cream served from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Proceeds are used for local and church-wide Mission Outreach.

Group holds free benefit dinner for veterans, Goldstar families
POLSON — Welcome Home Inc. is a new non-profit organization in Polson. They are planning a casual attire benefit dinner to honor local veterans on Saturday, Nov. 2, from 5-7 p.m. at the Red Lion Inn. They are planning on between 100-120 people attending this free event. There will be guest speakers from Sen. Tester's office and Sen. Daines’ office as well as local veterans sharing their stories. Some of our board members will introduce the services we offer free to veterans, gold star members and their families. Our services include a wide range of services from educational, medical and financial to emotional and recreational therapy. POLSON — Classic Country Jammin’ will be held on Sunday, Nov. 3, in the Elks ballroom, on Main Street from 2– 5 p.m. This event will continue to be held on the first Sunday every month.
