Government contracting workshop planned
PABLO – Robert Much from Native American Development Corp’s Procurement Tech Assistance Center will be conducting a Government Contracting 101 workshop from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 13 at the CSKT IT computer training room in the lower level of the Old Tribal Complex in Pablo. The workshop will cover the basics of government contracting and online certifications needed to do business with the government. Middle school theatre group presents ‘The Lady Pirates of the Carribbean’
RONAN – Coming soon will be a swashbuckling pirate comedy performed by the very talented Ronan Middle School theatre group. The play “The Lady Pirates of the Caribbean” will be a combination of gold, orphaned children, notorious pirates, a shipwreck, walking the plank, and a classic sword fight. Lots of fun for all. Learn how wetlands habitats are important
POLSON — “The Importance of Wetland Habitats for Wildlife and People” by Dennis Lichtenberg is the next Mission Mountain Audubon educational program and will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 28, at 7 p.m. in the Polson library meeting room. Wetland acreage in the United States has declined drastically since European settlement. Dennis will discuss the reason for the loss of wetlands and the importance of these habitats for both wildlife and people. First Festival of Trees viewing event held

Dennen and Aaberg perform at Winter Gala fundraiser
BIGFORK — A Winter Gala party featuring live music by two superb musicians, dancing, tasty delectables and fine wine and beer will be will held from 5:30-11 p.m. on Dec. 5 near Bigfork. The party’s purpose is raising scholarship funding for the 2019 Crown Guitar Workshop and Festival and the festivities will be held at The Nest, a new venue situated on a wide bend of the Swan River in Ferndale.
Folk/pop singer songwriter Brett Dennen will join pianist- composer Philip Aaberg in serenading the crowd. Both musicians have been Artists in Residence at previous Crown Guitar Workshop and Festivals, Dennen in 2015 and Aaberg at the Crown’s inaugural event in 2010 and again in 2011.
