POLSON — A progressive sale where each week discounts get bigger while quantities become additionally limited, is being offered at the North Lake County Public Library. Free play uplifts, tickles funny-bone
POLSON/PABLO — “Every Brilliant Thing” is a moving story that is so timely and important. This is a free production that runs for approximately 60-70 minutes. The first performance will be held at the Port Polson Theater at 2 p.m. The second performance will take place at the SKC Arlee/Charlo Theater at 7 p.m. This play is a tribute to the irrepressible resilience inside all of us and the capacity to find delight in the everyday. “Every Brilliant Thing” is a funny, clever, and surprisingly uplifting play about the lengths we go to for those we love.

POLSON — “Birding - Bolivia and Chile” by local bird expert Josh Covill will be Mission Mountain Audubon’s educational program on Thursday, Nov. 14, at 7 p.m. in the North Lake County Public Library's meeting room. Covill and his wife spent five months in South America exploring their passion for birds. Everyone is welcome.

Thanksgiving meal served in Big Arm
BIG ARM — The West Shore Community Church is hosting their annual Thanksgiving dinner on Saturday, Nov. 16, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Big Arm Fire House. ‘Food for Fines’ program Nov. 18 through Nov. 30
POLSON — Monday, Nov. 18, is the first day of North Lake County Public Library’s “Food for Fines” program. It runs through Saturday, Nov. 30. You can pay off your library fines by donating food. For each item donated, $2 of fines will be forgiven. Sealed, commercially prepared, nonperishable food items with current expiration dates can be given to the circulation desk. This program does not include fees for lost or damaged items. All donations will go to the Polson Loaves and Fish Food Pantry.

Donate to food pantry at hospital through Nov. 22
POLSON — Providence St. Joseph Medical Center will support the University of Montana Grizzlies and the Montana State Bobcats, Nov. 13-22, with a “Brawl of the Wild” food drive. Grizzly and Bobcat fans are encouraged to bring food items to be placed into a Montana or Montana State collection box located in the hospital main lobby, 6 Thirteenth Ave. E. All food collected will be given to Polson’s Loaves and Fish food pantry.

Learn to shop online safely
POLSON — On Tuesday, Nov. 19, at 2 p.m. North Lake County Public Library will offer a free computer class entitled, “Avoiding Scams and Shopping Safely Online.” Heather will teach you how to spot and avoid online scams as well as how to shop safely online. This class is free and open to the public.

Dance in Elks’ ballroom
POLSON — Join us for the community dance at the Elks on Main St. on Wednesday, Nov. 20, from 7-10 p.m. The music will be presented by Ken’s Country Combo. They play a variety of country and vintage rock and roll. This is the birthday dance where we provide a cake to celebrate November birthdays. No Elks membership is required. The cover charge is $5. Free Excel II workshop offered
RONAN — An Excel II workshop will be taught at the LCCD building, 407 Main Street, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 20. Excel II is an intermediate class for students who have a basic knowledge of Excel. RONAN — Lake County Democrats are sponsoring a program devoted to the 2020 Census to be held on Wednesday, Nov. 20, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Ronan Senior Citizens Center located at 528 Main Street SW. The decennial census is a count of every person living in the U.S. as of April 1, 2020.
Mission seniors hold Thanksgiving dinner

Sheriff to speak at Kiwanis meeting
POLSON — The Polson Kiwanis Club will meet on Thursday, Nov. 21, at the KwaTakNuk Resort downstairs in the Koostatah room from noon-1 p.m. Join us for lunch when our speaker will be Sheriff Don Bell. Bell will update us on his office and then discuss the need for new jail facilities in Lake County. The Commissioners have scheduled a county mail-in ballot for Jan. 28, 2020. POLSON — North Lake County Public Library’s movie night takes place on Friday, Nov. 22, at 6 p.m. Family friendly movies (PG or PG13) are shown at 6 p.m. on the fourth Friday of each month. You must be in the library before 6 p.m. to attend, as the doors lock at 6 p.m. You are welcome to bring your own snacks and nonalcoholic beverages. Popcorn will be provided. Polson school superintendent to speak to Pachyderms
POLSON — The public is invited to our next Pachyderm meeting on Friday, November 22nd noon to 1 pm. Rex Weltz, the Polson superintendent of District 23, will be sharing with our community about why the $60 million bond is being proposed to address needs of public schools in Lake County.
