‘Food for Fines’ program Nov. 18 through Nov. 30
POLSON — Monday, Nov. 18, is the first day of North Lake County Public Library’s “Food for Fines” program. It runs through Saturday, Nov. 30. You can pay off your library fines by donating food. For each item donated, $2 of fines will be forgiven. Sealed, commercially prepared, nonperishable food items with current expiration dates can be given to the circulation desk. This program does not include fees for lost or damaged items. All donations will go to the Polson Loaves and Fish Food Pantry.

Progressive sale offers discount at library Nov. 18 through Nov. 23
POLSON — A progressive sale where each week discounts get bigger while quantities become additionally limited, is being held at North Lake County Public Library. Purchases made between Nov. 18-23 will receive a 15 percent discount. Browse and find the perfect gift for your book lovers. All sale proceeds go towards the purchase of new technology and other items for library patrons.

Donate to food pantry at hospital through Nov. 22
POLSON — Providence St. Joseph Medical Center will support the University of Montana Grizzlies and the Montana State Bobcats, Nov. 13-22, with a “Brawl of the Wild” food drive. Grizzly and Bobcat fans are encouraged to bring food items to be placed into a Montana or Montana State collection box located in the hospital main lobby, 6 Thirteenth Ave. E. All food collected will be given to Polson’s Loaves and Fish food pantry.

Sheriff to speak at Kiwanis meeting
POLSON — The Polson Kiwanis Club will meet on Thursday, Nov. 21, at the KwaTakNuk Resort downstairs in the Koostatah room from noon-1 p.m. Join us for lunch when our speaker will be Sheriff Don Bell. Bell will update us on his office and then discuss the need for new jail facilities in Lake County. The Commissioners have scheduled a county mail-in ballot for Jan. 28, 2020. All are welcome to attend.

POLSON — The Polson Chamber’s November Support Polson Late Afternoon Social Hour sponsor is Miracle of America Museum. The event will be held on Thursday, Nov. 21, from 5-7 p.m. at 36094 Memory Lane. The cost is $2. Please come and network with other businesses and meet the SPLASH host. “To serve, support and strengthen our members by enhancing the business climate, promoting our area, and fostering a sense of community.”
