RONAN — On Thursday, Nov. 29, a dinner and silent auction fundraiser will be held at 5 p.m. along with the “Orange and Black Basketball” scrimmages at 6 p.m. in the Ronan Event Center in the Ronan Middle School. Donated items are needed for the auction and may be dropped off at the middle school by Tuesday, Nov. 27. Monies raised help pay for meals while traveling on away games and meets. Support veteran honoring, powwow
PABLO — The annual membership meeting of the Veterans Honoring and Powwow Association will be on Thursday, Nov. 29, at noon at the new Tribal Complex in Pablo. Fifth Friday dinner held

First Festival of Trees viewing event held
POLSON — The first annual Mission Valley Festival of Trees public viewing will take place on Friday, Nov. 30, from 7-9 p.m. after the Parade of Lights at the KwaTaqNuk Resort. The entry fee is $5 per family, and includes a hot cocoa bar, pictures with Santa (bring your camera), music, beautiful trees and wreaths. There will also be a special Friday night raffle. The Festival of Trees is made possible by the Mission Valley Youth Foundation, a non-profit organization. All proceeds benefit youth organizations in the Mission Valley. This is the first Festival of Trees public viewing in our 20 year history.
Movie shown about saving the world
POLSON — Friday is movie day at the North Lake County Library. On Nov. 30 at 3:30 p.m. come watch a movie about saving the world one tomorrow at a time. The characters in this recent live-action Disney movie know that the stakes are high and the danger is real.

POLSON — Busy Elves’ Holiday Extravaganza takes place on Saturday, Dec. 1, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Polson Red Lion. There will be crafts, baked goods and the best gifts ever. As a fundraiser, Search and Rescue will offer gift wrapping.
First ‘Holiday Treasures’ small drawing planned

POLSON — Sunday, Dec. 2, is the date for Accordionists Association's Christmas party at the Elks on Main Street in Polson. Betty Carter has asked that everyone who can bring finger-food type snacks to share do so. This way we can all take some back to our tables to eat. Also, wear Christmas colors if you have them. Dennen and Aaberg perform at Winter Gala fundraiser
BIGFORK — A Winter Gala party featuring live music by two superb musicians, dancing, tasty delectables and fine wine and beer will be will held from 5:30-11 p.m. on Dec. 5 near Bigfork. The party’s purpose is raising scholarship funding for the 2019 Crown Guitar Workshop and Festival and the festivities will be held at The Nest, a new venue situated on a wide bend of the Swan River in Ferndale.
Folk/pop singer songwriter Brett Dennen will join pianist- composer Philip Aaberg in serenading the crowd. Both musicians have been Artists in Residence at previous Crown Guitar Workshop and Festivals, Dennen in 2015 and Aaberg at the Crown’s inaugural event in 2010 and again in 2011.

RONAN — Lights Under the Big Sky will kick off this Friday night, Dec. 7. New fresh light displays will accompany familiar vignettes. Hot chocolate, food, kids’ crafts and games along with festive light displays will be on tap. The Christmas Market will open at 4 p.m. on Friday and 2 p.m. on Saturday. Lights turn on at 5 p.m. in time for Santa and the elves to arrive at 5:30 p.m. The cost is $3 per person $15 for a family of six, children under 4 are free. Holiday concert planned
RONAN — The Dec. 7 “Dolce Canto Holiday Concert” performance for Mission Valley Live will take place at the Ronan Performing Arts Center at 7 p.m. Single tickets are $13 in advance or $15 at the door. Santa visits North Crow Creek Women’s Club
NORTH CROW — Come join us for the annual North Crow Creek Women’s Club Christmas program on Monday, Dec.10, at 7 p.m. at the North Crow Clubhouse. Come to our Christmas program and share your talent. Children and adults are welcome to perform by singing a song, reciting a poem, sharing your favorite Christmas story or playing the piano or your favorite instrument.
