Horsemen to elect officers

RONAN — Mission Valley Back Country Horsemen will have their next monthly meeting on Dec. 3, at 7:30 p.m. at the Ronan VFW on Round Butte Rd. We will elect officers for 2020 and discussing our December Christmas party. Hope to see you there.

Hot Springs’ Organic Market offers nutritious food

HOT SPRINGS — Camas Organic Market is open Monday – Saturday from 9 a.m.- 6 p.m. at 300 Main St in Hot Springs. Customers will be able to earn the Double SNAP Dollars coupons on every Tuesday and Thursday starting on July 2.

Library begins monthly movie night

POLSON — Enjoy “Friday Night at the Library” on the fourth Friday of each month. North Lake County Library will show movies rated PG or PG-13 ( posted on our website) and make fresh popcorn. This program debuts Friday, Jan. 25. Be in the library before 6 p.m. to be included. Feel free to bring your own nonalcoholic beverage and snacks.

PHS choral group to perform in Big Arm

BIG ARM — The Big Arm Association will host the Polson High School choral group at our annual Christmas program on Friday, Dec. 13, at the Big Arm Historic School House. Their performance will begin at 5:30 p.m. A snack/dessert time will begin at 5 p.m. so please bring a finger food or dessert to share and if possible, an unwrapped toy for the Marine Toys For Tots drive. Recovery support available

RONAN —Recovery support is available for those struggling with addiction at The Never Alone Recovery Hall (Hwy. 93, old Boys and Girls Club), every day of the week. The Never Alone Recovery Hall is a peer support dropin center. We are simply recovering people offering our experience, strength, and hope to our community members who are struggling with addiction issues. All groups and services are free. Please feel welcome to drop in and check us out.

On Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays a noon meditation group is held and from 1-5 p.m. individual peer support is available.

Mondays a women’s support group takes place from 6-8 p.m.

Tuesdays there are recovery stories and videos heard from 6-8 p.m.

Wednesdays Narcotics Anonymous meets from 6-8 p.m.

Thursdays an early recovery skills groups meets from 6-8 p.m.

Fridays from 8-9 p.m. The Red Road to Recovery group meets.

Saturdays a co-dependent support group meets at 5 p.m. and at 6:30 p.m. special events take place (events change).

Family movie night happens from 6-8 p.m. on Sundays.

Rotary meets Tuesdays

POLSON — The Polson Rotary’s regular meeting are on Tuesdays at 12:15 p.m. at the KwaTaqNuk.

POLSON — Sunday, Dec. 2, is the date for Accordionists Association's Christmas party at the Elks on Main Street in Polson. Betty Carter has asked that everyone who can bring finger-food type snacks to share do so. This way we can all take some back to our tables to eat. Also, wear Christmas colors if you have them. Neither one is a requirement so please come. There will be plenty for everyone. The association members would love to be a part of your Christmas season. Dennen and Aaberg perform at Winter Gala fundraiser

BIGFORK — A Winter Gala party featuring live music by two superb musicians, dancing, tasty delectables and fine wine and beer will be will held from 5:30-11 p.m. on Dec. 5 near Bigfork. The party’s purpose is raising scholarship funding for the 2019 Crown Guitar Workshop and Festival and the festivities will be held at The Nest, a new venue situated on a wide bend of the Swan River in Ferndale.

Folk/pop singer songwriter Brett Dennen will join pianist- composer Philip Aaberg in serenading the crowd. Both musicians have been Artists in Residence at previous Crown Guitar Workshop and Festivals, Dennen in 2015 and Aaberg at the Crown’s inaugural event in 2010 and again in 2011.

A very limited number of tickets for the Winter Gala are $100 each and can be purchased online at www. crownguitarfest.org or by calling 855-855-5900.

A special package price of $150 that includes both the Dec. 4 concert and the Dec. 5 party is also available on the website while they last.

POLSON — Please join us for the community birthday dance in the ballroom at the Elks on Main Street on Wednesday, Dec. 5, from 7-10 p.m. Music is by Ken’s Country Combo who play a variety of country and vintage rock and roll tunes. Snacks are provided during the break at 8:30 p.m. We will celebrate December birthdays with a special cake. Everyone is welcome. The birthday dance was moved to the first Wednesday in December due to our Christmas Party being on the third Wednesday in December. An Elks membership is not required. The cover charge is $5. Ease holiday stress with coloring experience

POLSON —Do you feel stressed this time of year? Give yourself the gift of an afternoon of coloring in the meeting room at the North Lake County Library, especially if you haven’t experienced coloring before. The mood is relaxed in good company. ‘Lights Under the Big Sky’ kicks off

RONAN — Lights Under the Big Sky will kick off this Friday night, Dec. 7. New fresh light displays will accompany familiar vignettes. Hot chocolate, food, kids’ crafts and games along with festive light displays will be on tap. The Christmas Market will open at 4 p.m. on Friday and 2 p.m. on Saturday. Holiday concert planned

RONAN — The Dec. 7 “Dolce Canto Holiday Concert” performance for Mission Valley Live will take place at the Ronan Performing Arts Center at 7 p.m. Single tickets are $13 in advance or $15 at the door. As always, youth 18 and under may attend free. College students with identification can attend for $5. Four-ticket booklets are available for $45 and 7-ticket booklets are available for $75. NORTH CROW — Come join us for the annual North Crow Creek Women’s Club Christmas program on Monday, Dec.10, at 7 p.m. at the North Crow Clubhouse. Come to our Christmas program and share your talent. POLSON — On Friday, Dec. 14, at 3:30 p.m. the North Lake County Library will show a movie with a star-studded cast full of popular British actors.This holiday movie tells the story of Santa’s youngest son, Arthur, who is called on unexpectedly to save Christmas - and not just for the one child whose gifts Santa forgot to deliver, but for everyone at the South Pole. This Sony Pictures animated film is rated PG and lasts 97 minutes.
