Join accordionists for Christmas party
POLSON — Sunday, Dec. 2, is the date for Accordionists Association's Christmas party at the Elks on Main Street in Polson. Betty Carter has asked that everyone who can bring finger-food type snacks to share do so. This way we can all take some back to our tables to eat. Also, wear Christmas colors if you have them. Neither one is a requirement so please come. There will be plenty for everyone. The association members would love to be a part of your Christmas season. Classic Christmas movie shown
POLSON — A classic Christmas movie will be shown on Dec. 4 at 2 p.m. at the North Lake County Library. Check our website for the three movie titles that will be shown in December. Yes, we will be serving popcorn. These are family friendly films. The showings are free and open to the public.
Dennen and Aaberg perform at Winter Gala fundraiser
BIGFORK — A Winter Gala party featuring live music by two superb musicians, dancing, tasty delectables and fine wine and beer will be will held from 5:30-11 p.m. on Dec. 5 near Bigfork. The party’s purpose is raising scholarship funding for the 2019 Crown Guitar Workshop and Festival and the festivities will be held at The Nest, a new venue situated on a wide bend of the Swan River in Ferndale.
Folk/pop singer songwriter Brett Dennen will join pianist- composer Philip Aaberg in serenading the crowd. Both musicians have been Artists in Residence at previous Crown Guitar Workshop and Festivals, Dennen in 2015 and Aaberg at the Crown’s inaugural event in 2010 and again in 2011.
A very limited number of tickets for the Winter Gala are $100 each and can be purchased online at www. crownguitarfest.org or by calling 855-855-5900.
A special package price of $150 that includes both the Dec. 4 concert and the Dec. 5 party is also available on the website while they last.
Horsemen to elect 2019 officers
RONAN - The Mission Valley Back Country Horsemen will hold their next monthy meeting on Dec. 4, at 7:30 p.m. at the Ronan VFW. The elction of officers for 2019 will take place and also a discussion of our club's upcoming Christmas party. Hope to see you there.
Potluck party planned for quilters
RONAN — The Mission Mountain Quilt Guild will hold their regular meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 4, at the Terrace Lake Community Church in Ronan. Setup for the potluck will be at 5:30 p.m., dinner and gift exchange will be at 6 p.m. The meeting and show-and-tell will follow. Please bring a wrapped gift valued between $5-$10 to the party. POLSON — Please join us for the community birthday dance in the ballroom at the Elks on Main Street on Wednesday, Dec. 5, from 7-10 p.m. Music is by Ken’s Country Combo who play a variety of country and vintage rock and roll tunes. Snacks are provided during the break at 8:30 p.m. We will celebrate December birthdays with a special cake. Everyone is welcome. The birthday dance was moved to the first Wednesday in December due to our Christmas Party being on the third Wednesday in December. An Elks membership is not required. The cover charge is $5. POLSON —Do you feel stressed this time of year? Give yourself the gift of an afternoon of coloring in the meeting room at the North Lake County Library, especially if you haven’t experienced coloring before. The mood is relaxed in good company. ‘Lights Under the Big Sky’ kicks off
RONAN — Lights Under the Big Sky will kick off this Friday night, Dec. 7. New fresh light displays will accompany familiar vignettes. Hot chocolate, food, kids’ crafts and games along with festive light displays will be on tap. The Christmas Market will open at 4 p.m. on Friday and 2 p.m. on Saturday. Lights turn on at 5 p.m. in time for Santa and the elves to arrive at 5:30 p.m. The cost is $3 per person $15 for a family of six, children under 4 are free. Holiday concert planned
RONAN — The Dec. 7 “Dolce Canto Holiday Concert” performance for Mission Valley Live will take place at the Ronan Performing Arts Center at 7 p.m. Single tickets are $13 in advance or $15 at the door. Santa visits North Crow Creek Women’s Club
NORTH CROW — Come join us for the annual North Crow Creek Women’s Club Christmas program on Monday, Dec.10, at 7 p.m. at the North Crow Clubhouse. Come to our Christmas program and share your talent.
