St. Joseph, Glacier Bank conduct food drive through Dec. 19
POLSON —Providence St. Joseph Medical Center and Glacier Bank are collecting food for local food banks this holiday season. Collection points are located at the Glacier Bank main branch on U.S. Highway 93 in Polson and in the St. Joseph Medical Center lobby. The food drive will begin Friday, Nov. 29, and culminates Thursday, Dec. 19, at the Polson Chamber of Commerce SPLASH between 5-7 p.m. at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center, 6 Thirteenth Ave. E.
Sing along at library
POLSON — Group singing enhances a sense of belonging. It also improves our mood, decreases stress and is a natural antidepressant. So, let’s sing together. Join us in the North Lake County Public Library meeting room anytime between 5-6:30 p.m. on Dec. 5 for a seasonal group sing along. Song sheets and live accompaniment are provided along with hot apple cider. If you can’t carry a tune, come anyway; we sing for enjoyment.

Buy local, support food pantry
ST. IGNATIUS — DeVeer Designs fused glass jewelry will hold its annual Christmas sale on Friday, Dec. 6, from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. The sale will be held at Rod’s Harvest Foods in St. Ignatius and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the local food pantry. Join Santa, view decorated Christmas trees
POLSON — This year we are so excited to offer Festival of Trees tree viewing for the public on Friday, Dec. 6, at the KwaTaqNuk Resort from 7-9 p.m. Santa will be there for pictures, (bring your own camera), and there will be a hot cocoa bar. A special basket will be raffled off just for Friday night viewers.

Carnival, tree lighting, parade, caroling planned
ST. IGNATIUS — On Dec. 7 at 2:30 p.m. at the community center in St. Ignatius, the St. Ignatius Chamber of Commerce will hold a Christmas carnival. At 5:30 p.m. the annual town tree lighting event and parade of lights will take place with caroling around the town to follow.

Children’s choir presents Christmas concert
RONAN — The Mission Valley Children’s Choir will present its Christmas Concert on Sunday, Dec. 8, at 2 p.m. at the Faith Lutheran Church, 406 Fifth Ave. SW. The concert is free to the public.
Mission Valley Elks host Hoop Shoot, Free Throw contest
POLSON — On Sunday, Dec. 8, in the Polson High School gymnasium the Mission Valley Elks will host a Hoop Shoot, Free Throw contest. Registration and warm up is from 1:30-2 p.m. and the contest begins at 2 p.m. Boys and girls ages 8-13 (age as of April 1, 2020) living in Polson, Ronan and all the surrounding areas are invited. There is no cost to participate and no admission charge. Categories include: 8- to 9-year-old boys and 8- to 9-year-old girls; 10- to 11-year-old boys and 10- to 11-year-old girls; and 12- to 13-year-old boys and 12- to 13-year-old girls. Winners of each age group advance to the District Contest on Jan. 11. Free chili and hotdogs will be served for each contestant and their families after the shoot at the Polson Elks club. Concert to benefit Toys for Tots
POLSON — The Lake Bar presents a free “Make a Kid Smile” concert on Dec. 13 from 6 p.m. to closing. Bring an unwrapped toy for the Toys for Tots program and listen to three bands perform: “Off in the Woods,” “The Slickbacks,” and “Free Radicals.”
PHS choral group to perform in Big Arm
BIG ARM — The Big Arm Association will host the Polson High School choral group at our annual Christmas program on Friday, Dec. 13, at the Big Arm Historic School House. Their performance will begin at 5:30 p.m. A snack/dessert time will begin at 5 p.m. so please bring a finger food or dessert to share and if possible, an unwrapped toy for the Marine Toys For Tots drive. ST. IGNATIUS — The Mission Valley Ranch Hands 4-H Club Christmas Bazaar will be held from 9 a.m.- 3 p.m. at the St. Ignatius Community Center on Saturday, Dec. 14. This annual event is a great place to find gifts and has been for more than 30 years. There will be many vendors, local products, 4-H concessions and more.

Glacier Lake School presents play
RONAN — Glacier Lake School presents a play with Bugsy, Fat Sam and Blousey on Dec. 17 and 18 at the Grey Leaf Gallery on Main Street. The performance begins at 6 p.m. and tickets are $5 and $10. Join community dance fun
POLSON — Please join us for the community dance at the Elks on Wednesday, Dec. 18, from 7-10 p.m. Music is provided by Ken’s Country Combo playing a variety of classic country and vintage rock and roll. Snacks are provided during the 8:30 p.m. Refreshments may be purchased in the bar next door. No Elks membership is required. The cover charge is $5.
