St. Joseph, Glacier Bank conduct food drive through Dec. 19
POLSON —Providence St. Joseph Medical Center and Glacier Bank are collecting food for local food banks this holiday season. Collection points are located at the Glacier Bank main branch on U.S. Highway 93 in Polson and in the St. Joseph Medical Center lobby. The food drive will begin Friday, Nov. 29, and culminates Thursday, Dec. 19, at the Polson Chamber of Commerce SPLASH between 5-7 p.m. at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center, 6 Thirteenth Ave. E.
Children’s choir presents Christmas concert
RONAN — The Mission Valley Children’s Choir will present its Christmas Concert on Sunday, Dec. 8, at 2 p.m. at the Faith Lutheran Church, 406 Fifth Ave. SW. The concert is free to the public.
Mission Valley Elks host Hoop Shoot, Free Throw contest
POLSON — On Sunday, Dec. 8, in the Polson High School gymnasium the Mission Valley Elks will host a Hoop Shoot, Free Throw contest. Registration and warm up is from 1:30-2 p.m. and the contest begins at 2 p.m. Boys and girls ages 8-13 (age as of April 1, 2020) living in Polson, Ronan and all the surrounding areas are invited. There is no cost to participate and no admission charge. Categories include: 8- to 9-year-old boys and 8- to 9-year-old girls; 10- to 11-year-old boys and 10- to 11-year-old girls; and 12- to 13-year-old boys and 12- to 13-year-old girls. Winners of each age group advance to the District Contest on Jan. 11. Free chili and hotdogs will be served for each contestant and their families after the shoot at the Polson Elks club.
