Stations of the Cross done Lutheran Style through March 25
POLSON — Lenten soup suppers and worship services will be held each Wednesday, Feb. 18-March 25 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
Suppers are at 5:30 p.m., followed by worship services at 6:30 p.m.
“Stations of the Cross Lutheran Style,” will begin in Bethlehem, go to Nazareth and Capernaum, to the Upper Room and the Garden of Gethsemane, the Antonia Fortress and Palace of Caiaphas, ending on Good Friday at Golgotha. We will consider these “stations,” sing hymns and pray. Good Shepherd is located at 409 Fourth Ave., E in Polson. ARLEE — Sacred Heart Mission in Arlee will have Stations of the Cross lead by the youth every Wednesday during Lent at 7 p.m.
Reconciliation Services (Confession) for Sacred Heart in Arlee will be held on Wednesday, March 25, at 7 p.m.
Benefit dinner to help with medical expenses
RONAN — A benefit for Danell “Bumper” Thingelstad will take place on Saturday, March 14. Starting at 4 p.m. at the K. William Harvey gym there will be a Sloppy Joe dinner, a silent auction and a live auction. The drawing for the two raffles will also happen during this time. We are raffling off a Browning 22 rifle with 1,000 rounds and also have a three prize raffle with a Guy Rowbury print signed and framed, a quilt made by local quilters and 1/2 of a pig cut and wrapped as the prizes. Following there will be music, a 50/50 drawing, a white elephant event and a wine pull at 325 Bar to finish the night off.
Contest winners to be announced, awarded
ST. IGNATIUS — Kuilix Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, Good Citizen Essay contest winners from four local high schools will be announced and awarded. First place will be awarded $250, second place will be awarded $100 and third place will be awarded $50. Who will be the winners? We welcome the students, teachers, parents, and friends to join us at the United Methodist Church (top of the hill) on Highway 93, north of St. Ignatius, on Saturday, March 14. Firefighters to hold annual banquet
POLSON – The Annual Firefighters’ Award Banquet will be held Saturday, March 14, at the Polson Elks Lodge beginning at 6 p.m. This year’s event will be a Country Banquet, including a little country dancing 101 by NWCountrySwing.com. Support fairgrounds, attend fashion show
RONAN — On Saturday, March 14, the Friends of Ronan Fairgrounds and Murdoch’s Ranch and Home Supply in Polson will present a “Color My World” fashion at Ninepipes Lodge. Tickets for the show and a buffet lunch are $25. Doors open and the lunch buffet is available starting at 11:30 a.m. with the show beginning at 12:30 p.m. Tickets are available at Murdoch’s in Polson, Access Montana in Ronan and Cenex and Valley Bank in St. Ignatius. This event is a fundraiser for the Lake County Fairgrounds in Ronan. RONAN — The 29th annual Ronan Women’s Club Craft Fair and Flea Market is set for Saturday, March 14, from 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. at the Ronan Community Center. Lunch includes fry bread, Indian tacos, soup and sandwiches. There will be a silent auction and over 40 vendors - woodworking, handmade crafts, jewelry, art, etc.
