Sassy dames perform folk music
POLSON — Mission Valley Live presents Rosie and the Riveters, a fiercely talented group of sassy dames from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, who perform uplifting folk music with a vintage 1940s flair. They will perform at Polson High School in the auditorium on Friday, March 8, at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15 at the door, $13 in advance (available at First Interstate Bank and Perfect Shot Tavern in Polson and R & R Healthcare Solutions and Ronan True Value in Ronan). Youth 18 and under are free. College students with ID are $5.
Transitional kindergarten registration held
ST. IGNATIUS — St. Ignatius School District is holding transitional kindergarten registration on Friday, March 8, from 8:15-11:45 a.m. and 1-2:15 p.m. You will need to make an appointment. Students must be 4 years old by Sept. 10, 2019. Please bring with you: the student, student’s birth certificate, student’s immunization record, proof of residency (copy of electric bill), Tribal enrollment information, and any applicable custody papers. Attend Woman’s Club’s annual arts and crafts fair
RONAN — The Ronan Woman’s Club would like to thank the community for their years of support at their annual arts and crafts fair. This year’s fair will be held at the Ronan Community Center on March 9 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Plan to make a day of it. Lamb of God rehearsals
ST. IGNATIUS — The Lamb of God performance choir will meet at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints from 10 a.m.-noon on Saturday, March 9. Discuss human trafficking, learn self-defense
ST. IGNATIUS — The Flathead Valley Human Rights Coalition will hold a conversation on human trafficking and self-defense. The focus will be on women and girls but everyone is welcome. The program begins at 6:30 p.m. at the Mission Valley United Methodist Church, (70715 Highway 93). The Lifeguard Group and Lowell Hochhalter will present. Learn to crotchet
POLSON — The second in a series of four learn-to-crotchet sessions will take place from 2-3 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12, in North Lake County Library’s small meeting room. The final sessions will take place on March 19 and 26 at the same time in the same location.

Club to make baskets for Special Olympics’ auction
FINLEY POINT – The Montecahto Club will meet at the Finley Point Grill on Wednesday, March 13, at 1 p.m.
In addition to their regular agenda, club members will be making wine-and-cheese baskets to donate to the Special Olympics fundraising auction. The Montecahto Club welcomes new members. Also, please keep the Montecahto Clubhouse in mind when planning weddings, reunions, and other events during the year.

People’s Center holds classes, activities
PABLO — The People’s Center will hold traditional arts classes and activities in March. On March 13 from 5:30–8 p.m. there will be a moccasin making class with a fee for the buckskin used. Enjoy detectives in RHS play
RONAN — Be prepared for lots of fun as the Ronan High School Drama Department presents a performance of the play, “A Lighter Shade of Noir.” General admission tickets only will be sold at the door the evening of the plays. Cost for adults will be $3 and $2 for students. This performance will be presented at the Ronan Performing Arts Center on Thursday and Friday, March 14 and 15, at 7 p.m.

Spay-ghetti, no-balls dinner on tap
POLSON — Join friends and neighbors for a fundraiser to help offset the cost of Mission Valley Animal Shelter’s annual spays and neuters. Enjoy a spaghetti dinner from 5-9 p.m. at the Elks, 512 Main Street, for $20 each. There will also be a silent auction.

Dinner, dance to support library
LAKESIDE — A benefit for the West Shore Community Library will be held on St. Patrick’s Day, Sunday, March 17. West Shore Community Library is an all volunteer non-profit organization serving the communities of Lakeside, Somers, Rollins and Dayton. The event includes prizes, raffles, partying, dinner and a dance at Beargrass Bistro, (Lakeside Town Center, 306 Stoner Loop), for $75 per person and starts at 6 p.m.

Participate in 30th annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade
RONAN — The 30th annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade will be held in Ronan on March 17 at 2 p.m. Be ready to show your true Irish toughness by participating this year in the rather inclement weather. Entrants should line up at 1:45 p.m. west of the hospital. TRIC (The Ronan Irish Community) appreciates all the past participation and is looking forward to another fun Irish celebration. Headquarters will be located again at the Second Chance Saloon following the parade. Get your Irish on and let’s have some fun.

POLSON — Please join us on Wednesday, March 20, from 7-10 p.m. for the community dance at the Elks on Main Street. Music is by Ken’s Country Combo playing a variety of country and vintage rock and roll. We had an additional accordion and a base player join us last time. Snacks provided during break at 8:30 p.m. We will celebrate March birthdays with a special cake. Everyone is welcome. No Elks membership is required. The cover charge is $5.

KALISPELL — The Flathead Reservation Fish and Wildlife Board will meet on Wednesday, March 20, at the Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks Region 1 headquarters in Kalispell. POLSON — Lake County Democrats will meet on Wednesday, March 20, at 6:30 p.m. at the Polson library to discuss drug issues and enforcement activities in Lake County. Learn yoga with Parents as Teachers Program

Museum discussed
POLSON — Karen Dunwell, president of Polson-Flathead Historical Museum, will speak to the Polson Kiwanis Club on Thursday, March 21, downstairs at the KwaTaqNuk at noon. She will talk about the history of the museum, new developments and upcoming events, including a Flathead Monster Fishing Tournament slated for 2020. The public is welcome. The Lewings from the Port Polson Players had to cancel their March 7 presentation due to the weather but will be at the April 4 meeting. We look forward to hearing from them at that time.
