POLSON — Free technology classes are being offered at North Lake County Public Library in Polson during the month of April. On Wednesday, April 22, from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. the course, “Up in the Air: What is the Cloud, and How do I Use it?” will be taught. This class will introduce you to the various ways to compute in the Cloud.
Microsoft, Google, Amazon, and Apple all have cloud-based software, and this class will show you each one and give you a short overview of how to set up an account and upload your files. You will need a valid email address to set up any accounts. Space is limited, so please call the library at (406) 883-8225 to register. If you see a class you’d like to take, but can’t make it at the scheduled time, call for an individual free session. The library is located at 2 First Avenue E.
Mowbray to present new book to EAA
POLSON — EAA Chapter 1122 will meet on Wednesday, April 22, at 7 p.m. in the Polson Public Library. Please bring ideas for our T-shirts for the 2015 Fly-In to be held in September. Carmine Mowbray will be our program presenter and it will be based on her research for her new book “Havoc Red.” The book is a historical work about a WWII hero from Great Falls. Hope to see you there and please bring a friend - the meeting is open to anyone interested in aviation.
Suicide Prevention meeting set
POLSON – Our next Partners in Suicide Prevention and Intervention meeting is on Wednesday, April 22, on the third floor of the Tribal Health Department in Polson. We will start a half hour earlier than normal. The meeting is from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Katharina Werner, Pathway Program Manager from Missoula YWCA, will be doing a Human Trafficking Training. Lunch will be provided. We enjoyed having everyone at our PSPI Cyber-Bullying and Campaign Development meeting.
Workshop will inspire, assist vendors
ARLEE – The Arlee Farmers Market will hold a free, open to the public workshop and social on Wednesday, April 22, at 7 p.m. at the Backstube Bakery, 34306 Powwow Road. This is for everyone interested in the market. Pastries and coffee will be provided; join us.
