‘Lamb of God’ returns
ST. IGNATIUS — “Lamb of God” is a sacred work by soloists, choir and orchestra to benefit the St. Ignatius Mission fresco restoration. The performance is free but donations are welcomed. Performance begins at 7 p.m.
Accordion Association holds dance
POLSON — The Northwest Accordion Association will hold a community dance on April 7 from 2-5 p.m. at the Elks ballroom in Polson located on Main Street. The music is not just accordion music. There is a variety of music you can listen to or dance to. You do not have to be a member of the Elks or the Accordion Association to attend, sing or play. However, if you do sing or play you don’t pay. Admission is $2 for members, $3 for non-members, and $5 to become a member of the MVAA. Everyone is welcome. Hope to see you there.

People’s center to make drums, sticks
PABLO — Traditional arts classes for April are open to everyone. A light meal will be provided for participants. On April 10 from 5:30-8 p.m. there will be large drum making and drum stick making. There’s no fee for making the large drum (which will remain with the center). The fee for making drumsticks is $10 each (covers materials).

Clean-up at Flathead Lake State Park
BIGFORK — Montana State Parks invites you to help clean up our public land in celebration of Earth Day at Flathead Lake State Park – Wayfarers Unit (Wayfarers, 8600 Mt. Hwy 35) on Saturday, April 13, at 10 a.m. There will be multiple projects including beach clean-up, trail maintenance, and preparing the buildings for the coming months. There will be free snacks, and you are invited to join us on a ranger-led hike after the volunteering is finished at 1:30 p.m.

Enjoy bird prints, drawings, nests at Arlee gallery
ARLEE — Killdeer Artisans Guild’s opening reception for their new exhibit, “Spring’s Return,” will take place on Saturday, April 13, at Hangin’ Art Gallery in Arlee, (Highway 93 N), from noon-2 p.m. Featured guest artists are Claire Emery and Jenah Mead. Claire’s delightful collection of hand-colored woodcut prints and Jenah’s exquisite graphite drawings both feature native birds. Also included, an installation of bird nests entitled, “Winged Makers,” celebrating the ingenuity and craftsmanship of birds (put together by Kathee Dunham.) Killdeer member artists will exhibit paintings, mixed media and photography. Three new members will show in this exhibit as well - Juanita Thames (pastels), Doug Ersson-Hammerberg (photography), and Joel Carlson (sketches). Enjoy Easter event
POLSON — On Saturday, April 13, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at Super 1 grocery store, the Easter Bunny will make an appearance with buckets for the kids, face painting and cookie decorating. There will be a barbecue and bake sale with proceeds going to the local Lions Club for kids who need glasses.

Don’t be late for egg hunt
ST. IGNATIUS — On Saturday, April 20, at 10 a.m. sharp (don’t be late), the St. Ignatius Chamber will sponsor an Easter egg hunt at the St. Ignatius High School football field. There will be a raffle and bake sale with casseroles and baked goodies at the St. Ignatius Senior Center from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Help raise money for the Mission Mountain Pageant. There will be prizes for each age group: 0-3, 4-6, 7-9, and 10-12 years old. You will have an opportunity to take your picture with the Easter Bunny.

View spring waterfowl at west valley ponds
KALISPELL — Flathead Audubon will host a field trip to the West Valley ponds in Kalispell on Saturday, April 20, from 9 a.m.-noon. The group will visit several ponds in the West Valley area including the new public bird viewing area. Expect to see lots of migrating waterfowl and look for shorebirds, raptors, and early passerines. Roads will be both paved and gravel. This trip will be primarily driving.
