View ‘The Joy of Friendship’ exhibit through May 12
POLSON — The Sandpiper Gallery will exhibit “The Joy of Friendship,” a mixed media artwork show from April 10-May 12. This exhibit features member artists Olivia Olsen (mixed media), Larry Kjorvestad (photography), long time member Margie Hendricks (painter), jewelry by Sherry Jones, and guest fiber artist Monique Kleinhans, of Lady Bugs Cabin.

Fort Connah depicts fur trade era
ST. IGNATIUS — The Fort Connah Restoration Society will host their annual Spring Open House Rendezvous which depicts life during the fur trading era of Montana, on Saturday, May 6, to Wednesday, May 10; a 5-day event. This is a great opportunity to see the 1846 historic Hudson’s Bay Fort Connah Trading Post come to life. This event is free to the public and includes demonstrations of time-era activities, Moose Creek chuck wagon-style barbecue, a baked goods sale, beer and wine, crafts and kids games. There will be historical talks after the opening ceremony at noon on Saturday. Main events will be held on Saturday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Fort Connah is located 6 miles north of St. Ignatius at mile marker 39 on Highway 93. ST. IGNATIUS — The Flathead Reservation Human Rights Coalition’s annual potluck series – Nourish Your Body, Nourish Your Mind will come together on Wednesday, May 10, at 6 p.m. at Mission Valley United Methodist Church, 70715 Highway 93, at the top of Post Creek Hill. Bridget Kevane will present Latino America, Latino Montana. She will lead us through our state’s Latino history, which began even before 1889 and about the more recently arrived community of Latinos in the state.
Mission Valley Heritage to meet
RONAN — The Mission Valley Heritage group will hold their monthly meeting on May 10 at 2 p.m. at the Ronan Senior Center. Anyone interested is welcome to attend. Sitters for the Garden of the Rockies Museum are needed. Without them it won’t be able to open. Call 406-676-5454 if you can help. The museum opens on June 1 and closes again Sept. 1. Hours of operation are 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Friday.
