View ‘The Joy of Friendship’ exhibit through May 12
POLSON — The Sandpiper Gallery will exhibit “The Joy of Friendship,” a mixed media artwork show from April 10-May 12. This exhibit features member artists Olivia Olsen (mixed media), Larry Kjorvestad (photography), long time member Margie Hendricks (painter), jewelry by Sherry Jones, and guest fiber artist Monique Kleinhans, of Lady Bugs Cabin.
Annual Spring Powwow and Graduation Honoring
Salish Kootenai College will be hosting their Annual Spring Powwow and Graduation Honoring on May 12 and 13 with Grand Entries starting at 7 p.m., Friday night and continuing Saturday at 1 and 7 p.m. in the Joe McDonald Health and Fitness Center in Pablo, Montana. Contest dancing is slated to begin Friday and includes Junior, Teen and Adult categories, as well as Golden Age. Drum pay is tentatively set for the first 10 registered drums, with dance specials to be announced. There will be concessions, vendors and raffles with all proceeds going to helping with the powwow. Vendor space is available so call Tina Begay at 406-275-4851 to reserve a table. This year, all area High School graduates are invited to participate. Free dinner served at Presbyterian Church
POLSON — The April Friendship Table Dinner is on May 12 from 5-6:30 p.m. Polson Presbyterian Church is located across from the Linderman School. Come join us. This dinner is free and open to all.
Potluck on tap in Big Arm
BIG ARM — The Big Arm Association will hold a potluck on Friday, May 12, at our historic Big Arm School. We have invited master gardner Mona Rey Tuhi back to give a presentation on “Gardening in Montana.” Last time she offered lots of practical suggestions and answered many questions from the audience. We are looking forward to another informative evening with her. The potluck meal (bring a dish to share), begins at 6 p.m. and the presentation begins at 7 p.m.
