Join ‘Moving for Better Balance’
POLSON — Moving for Better Balance, an evidence-based, adapted Tai Chi class, will be offered by the Area VI Agency on Aging on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10-11 a.m. for 12 weeks, May 1-July 19. Classes will be held at the Polson Senior Center. The fee is $35 for senior center members, $50 for non-members (they get a membership included), but everything is on a slidingscale. Attend first ‘Show n’ Shine’ event
ARLEE — The first annual Jocko Valley “Show n’ Shine” car event will take place from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. on May 19 at The Merc on 93, 92661 Highway 93. This event is in conjunction with the “Junkin the Jocko Market.” Registration is from 9-10 a.m. and judging is at noon. Pre-registration (due May 16) is $5 and day-of-event registration is $10. All proceeds benefit the Arlee Youth Connection whose mission is to cultivate physical and mental health for youth with drug and alcohol free activities in a safe environment. Cherry Blossom Festival celebrated
YELLOW BAY – The 15th annual Yellow Bay Cherry Blossom Festival will be held on from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 19 at the Yellow Bay Community Clubhouse. The clubhouse is located on Montana Hwy. 35 at mile marker 18. The festival is free and open to the public. This year’s event includes artisans and crafters offering an array of locally produced and hand-crafted items. Live music, free door prizes and lunch items for a nominal fee are also planned. The festival is a major fundraiser for the Yellow Bay Community Club. Proceeds help fund various charitable projects selected by the club, as well as maintenance of the 75-year-old clubhouse, home to potlucks, receptions, private celebrations, and cherry growers’ meetings. Membership and community events are open to all.
