POLSON — The Memorial Day Parade will assemble at the Elks Club on Main Street between 9-9:30 a.m. with step-off time at noon. Annual potluck, campout to be final accordion jam
POLSON/LONEPINE — There will not be an accordion jam on Sunday, June 2, due to our annual campout and potluck being held on May 31 and June 1, at Lonepine Community Center, off of Highway 28. All are welcome. There is a big blue building on the east side of the highway, turn west and follow to the campgrounds. You will go past a cemetery. Skateboard clinic for girls held
ST. IGNATIUS — Girls on Shred, a non-competitive free female/non-binary skate clinic takes place on Saturday, June 1, from noon-4 p.m. at the St. Ignatius Skatepark (357 Mission Dr.). POLSON — Polson Kiwanis Club will meet on Thursday, June 6, at noon, downstairs in the Koostatah Room at the KwaTaqNuk Resort. Kiwanis will also present an award to Helping Hands and Tillie Marshall will tell about the progress on its projects, including the successful “Baby Boxes” given to new mothers in local Lake County hospitals. ‘Mission Valley in Motion’ program begins, through Aug. 8

Full summer agenda planned for Polson club through Aug. 6
POLSON — The Boys and Girls Club of Lake County and Flathead Reservation in Polson will operate a summer program Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.- 6 p.m. from June 17-Aug. 16 (closed July 4). RONAN — From Thursday, June 20, until Sunday, June 23, a “Chainsaw Carving Rendezvous” will be held at the Lake County Fairgrounds from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. The event includes a Dutch oven class at 11 a.m.; the Cheff Ranch Legacy Outfitters from 2-6 p.m.; a carving seminar starts at 6 p.m.; the Farmers Market will be open from 4-7 p.m. and a carving auction will take place at 7 p.m. Watch all the action and see some amazing works of art by chainsaw carvers from across the U.S. Craft and food vendors, a beer garden, lumberjack log milling, and the CSKT Forestry and Fire Departments will also be on site. Space activities included in library program
POLSON — Thursday mornings at 10:30 a.m. from June 20-Aug. 8, the North Lake County Library will have space-centered children’s programming. Crafts and activities will be included with each presentation. Martin Horejsi, Associate Professor of Instructional Technology and Science Education, Solar System Ambassador for NASA, and longtime meteorite hound, will run a youth-oriented program on the Moon, Mars and Meteorites on Thursday, June 20. This presentation will be followed by a hands-on activity suitable for school-aged kids. Martin Horejsi will follow up the youth program with a second program for adults: “Meteorites: An Inconvenient Science” at 1 p.m.

Educational open house planned in Proctor
PROCTOR — The Friends of Lake Mary Ronan will hold an educational open house with speakers and displays at the Proctor Valley Community Center, (Old Proctor School House - two miles west of Dayton on 352) on June 22, from 1- 3 p.m. This event will provide a learning experience for kids and adults alike. President of FLMR Jim Baker will speak from 1-1:30 p.m. Research scientist Jim Craft will talk about water quality from 1:30-2 p.m. Septic leaching and grants will be area resource specialist, Samantha Tappenbeck’s topic from 2-2:30 p.m. Fisheries biologist Sam Bourret will talk about illegal fish introduction from 2:30-3 p.m. Displays to include: aquatic invasive species, Montana parks, soil and conservation districts. There will also be displays of emergency equipment from Chief Cliff Fire Department and there will be live demonstrations.

RONAN — Safe Harbor will present a “Circus and Carnival” on Saturday, June 22. Shows are at 2 and 4:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults and $8 for children. The free-admission carnival will take place from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. Game tickets will be 50 cents each.
Fireman’s auction includes food, raffle, prizes
ST. IGNATIUS — The St. Ignatius Volunteer Fire Department Fireman’s Auction will take place on Saturday, June 22, at 11 a.m. at the Old Town Field. Data, Donuts Seminar on tap at Yellow Bay
YELLOW BAY — The Data and Donuts Seminar series is offered every summer during the first four weeks of the Flathead Lake Biological Station Summer Session.
