Class offers help for caregivers through June 7

Providence St. Joseph Medical Center is hosting the Area VI Agency on Aging’s six-week series of classes designed to help caregivers with the many physical and emotional challenges they face. Men’s Friday afternoon cancer club through May 24
POLSON — If you are a man with any cancer diagnosis this group is for you. Join others for six meetings to discuss the issues men with cancer are facing Friday afternoons from 5:15-6:30 p.m. at the Bickford Building (upstairs). This group is free of charge. Move for better balance through June
POLSON — The spring session of “Moving for Better Balance,” an adapted Tai Chi program, will begin on Tuesday, April 9. It will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10-11 a.m. at the Polson Senior Center. The class will run until the end of June. Call Jane at the Agency on Aging to sign up 406-883-7284.
Gals 14-114 invited to event
POLSON — New Life Church, 1414 Second Ave. W, will host “Pure Joy,” at 7 p.m. This event is a free event for women ages 14 to 114. Women from the community will tell stories about how God is working through their imperfections, real women and real issues. Come early for fun giveaways and laughter.

RONAN — Enjoy an evening of dancing at the Lake County 4-H Ambassadors Family Prom held at the Ronan Community Center from 7-10 p.m. on Saturday, May 4. All ages are welcome to this family-friendly event. Tickets are $2 for a single ticket, $3 for a couple, and $1 off with a non-perishable food donation to the food bank.
Join Fort Connah’s annual Spring Rendezvous
ST. IGNATIUS — Fort Connah’s annual “Spring Rendezvous” takes place on the weekend of May 4 and 5 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The open house is free to public and kid friendly. Bring the whole family and enjoy two days of learning history, live demonstrations, activities and the trading post. There will be atlatl, a long bow archery, wool processing, fry-bread, a chuckwagon, and a black powder shoot. Fort Connah is located 6 miles north of St. Ignatius on Highway 93 mile at marker 39. It was the first building in Montana and was part of the Hudson Bay trading post at one time.

VV Women’s Club organizes annual sale
VALLEY VIEW — Valley View Women’s Club will hold their annual rummage sale on Saturday, May 4, from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. We are in need of donations of gently used items, no clothes please. All proceeds go back into the Valley View Clubhouse and grounds. We are raising money this year for a remodel of the kitchen and gravel for the parking lot.
