Yard sale donations accepted now
BIG ARM — The Big Arm Association is now accepting donations for their annual yard sale being held on Saturday, May 30. You can drop off your donations at our schoolhouse on Thursdays between 10 a.m.-noon, or contact Nancy or Jeff at (406) 849-5064, to make other arrangements.

Children’s artwork displayed May 16-30
POLSON – Sandpiper member Heather Holmes will display a multi-media collection of Native American inspired art from art classes she taught with Cherry Valley and Linderman Elementary students including ledger art, totems, masks, mandalas, clay pots and sculptures. The show runs May 16-30. There will be a reception on Friday, May 22 from 5-7 p.m. Come in and show your support of our children.

Sandpiper show features ‘R’ in aRt April 6 through May 16
POLSON — Sandpiper Gallery with have a non-juried show entitled “The ‘R’ in aRt” from April 6-May 16. The show features rodeos, ranching, railroads, reflections, raptors, rockets, roundups, robots, riding, raccoons, and radios... all things “R.” A reception will be held on April 10 from 5-7 p.m.
Horsemen invite public
RONAN — Mission Valley Back Country Horsemen will hold their next monthly meeting on May 5, at 7:30 p.m. at the Ronan VFW on Round Butte Road. Come see what our organization is all about. The public is invited and encouraged to attend.
Irrigation project to hold meeting
ST. IGNATIUS – The BIA, Flathead Indian Irrigation Project’s semi-annual water user meeting will be held at the Community Center gym on May 5, beginning at 5 p.m.
Learn to design for backyard abundance
POLSON – On Tuesdays in May from 7:30-9 p.m. learn to transform urban lots, homesteads or farms to poly-cultural, abundant, and resilient systems while enhancing ecology and improving your community. This series explains permaculture, sustainable afro-ecology in a series explored at the Montana Co-op, Polson, 410 Main Street. There is no charge for classes but donations are accepted. The May 5 class is: Introduction-Design for Abundance in your backyard or farm including financial opportunities.
Quilters list busy events schedule
RONAN – The Mission Mountain Quilt Guild will hold their next meeting on May 5 at the Terrace Lake Community Church, starting at 6:30 p.m. We’ll have election of officers and our annual “Brown Bag Auction,” so please bring a related item or two for that. Peggy Sloan is the chair for that committee, so if you have questions contact her. The Quilt Show will be held at the K.W. Harvey gym at the end of July. Registration forms are due to Kay Krantz by July 13. Make something for this year’s theme “Twisters,” as well as items for the Country Store. Bring in your completed TLC blocks, four fat-quarters for the raffle basket, and be prepared to purchase $20 of raffle tickets for the quilt raffle. We will finish the ribbons and the bookmarks for the Quilt Show at the meeting. Come and have fun. Everyone is welcome.
