Move for better balance through June
POLSON — The spring session of “Moving for Better Balance,” an adapted Tai Chi program, will begin on Tuesday, April 9. RONAN — Ronan Middle School students (grades 5-8) may attend literacy and math classes at RMS from 9 a.m.-noon, Monday-Friday, from June 10-28. There will be a couple of special activities included.

Summer program at Boys and Girls Club begins
LAKE COUNTY — The Flathead Reservation and Lake County Boys and Girls Club in Ronan will operate a summer program Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. from June 10-Aug. 16 (closed July 4). The cost is $20 per week or $150 for the full summer. The summer session is 10 weeks of fun – opportunities for discovery, learning, and activities galore. ‘Magic Moment’ art exhibited through July 26
POLSON — A members only open show entitled “Magic Moment,” featuring Sandpiper Art Gallery member artists past and present will be exhibited from June 17-July 26. All submissions will be accepted in the artist’s interpretation of the theme. This is member magic at its best. Gallery hours are 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. Monday-Friday and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday.

‘Mission Valley in Motion’ program begins, through Aug. 8
PABLO — “Mission Valley in Motion” is a summer youth program that will run from June 17- Aug. 8, at the Joe McDonald Health & Fitness Center. The program is open to students ages 7-14. ‘Chainsaw Carving Rendezvous’ held
RONAN — From Thursday, June 20, until Sunday, June 23, a “Chainsaw Carving Rendezvous” will be held at the Lake County Fairgrounds from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. The event includes a Dutch oven class at 11 a.m.; the Cheff Ranch Legacy Outfitters from 2-6 p.m.; a carving seminar starts at 6 p.m.; the Farmers Market will be open from 4-7 p.m. and a carving auction will take place at 7 p.m. Watch all the action and see some amazing works of art by chainsaw carvers from across the U.S. Craft and food vendors, a beer garden, lumberjack log milling, and the CSKT Forestry and Fire Departments will also be on site. Educational open house planned in Proctor
PROCTOR — The Friends of Lake Mary Ronan will hold an educational open house with speakers and displays at the Proctor Valley Community Center, (Old Proctor School House - two miles west of Dayton on 352) on June 22, from 1- 3 p.m. This event will provide a learning experience for kids and adults alike. President of FLMR Jim Baker will speak from 1-1:30 p.m. Research scientist Jim Craft will talk about water quality from 1:30-2 p.m. Septic leaching and grants will be area resource specialist, Samantha Tappenbeck’s topic from 2-2:30 p.m. Fisheries biologist Sam Bourret will talk about illegal fish introduction from 2:30-3 p.m. Displays to include: aquatic invasive species, Montana parks, soil and conservation districts. There will also be displays of emergency equipment from Chief Cliff Fire Department and there will be live demonstrations.
Enjoy circus, carnival
RONAN — Safe Harbor will present a “Circus and Carnival” on Saturday, June 22. Shows are at 2 and 4:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults and $8 for children. The free-admission carnival will take place from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. Game tickets will be 50 cents each.
Fireman’s auction includes food, raffle, prizes
ST. IGNATIUS — The St. Ignatius Volunteer Fire Department Fireman’s Auction will take place on Saturday, June 22, at 11 a.m. at the Old Town Field. Concessions begin at that time and include hamburgers, hot dogs and pulled pork sandwiches with coleslaw. Meals will be served until the end of the auction at approximately 5 p.m. (Purchase a meal and you’re entered in the door prize drawing.)
The silent auction starts at 11 a.m.; the live auction starts at noon with raffle drawings and door prizes.

Pitch, putt or drive at Polson golf course
POLSON — The Polson Bay Golf Course will host the Pitch, Putt and Drive Contest, the culminating event of the junior camp week. The contest is from noon-5 p.m. and is followed by awards and a potluck barbecue.
