Sandpiper opens new exhibit through June 25
POLSON — Sandpiper Art Gallery, 306 Main Street, Polson, presents “Montana West of the Mountains.” This exhibit will be the best images of everything we love about Montana and features member artists Antonia Wolf (photography), Sue Arneson (watercolor), Marie Stockhill (pottery), and guest artists Mike and Belinda Williams (photography) and jeweler Donna Miller. The exhibit continues until June 25. The Gallery is open Monday-Friday 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
‘Save Our Sisters’ dresses on display
PABLO — Missing from Our Circle Art Show will take place at The People’s Center on Saturday, June 3, at 6 p.m. Missing from Our Circle is a three dimensional display of the “Save Our Sisters: Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women Awareness Project” dresses made by Marita Growing Thunder. The piece depicts the impact that the missing and murdered Indigenous women crisis has had on our communities, lives, and cultures. We will honor their lives, spirits, and journeys as we call for justice for the MMIW crisis. Be a witness to their silent honor dance.
Bigbow artists showcase artwork
CHARLO — The Ninepipes Museum of Early Montana, located just south of Ronan, invites local artists to showcase their artwork on the first Saturday of each month, June-October, in the gift shop at the museum. Artists Nicole and Merle Bigbow will exhibit their work, plus fry bread and Indian tacos with Nancy Vaughan and Crew, will be available from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
Church rummage sale to benefit Relay for Life
ST. IGNATIUS — The Mission Valley United Methodist Church will hold a rummage sale at the church located at the top of Post Creek Hill on Highway 93, on June 3 from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Some items will be from an estate sale. All proceeds to benefit Relay for Life.
Flea market, crafts, yard sale on tap
RONAN — The Garden of the Rockies Museum will hold a Flea Market, Craft Fair, Yard Sale at their Round Butte Gym across from the VFW, the first Saturday of each month from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Do you have yard sale items but not enough room to hold your own sale? Join rock skipping contest
POLSON — The 2017 Flathead Lake Rock Skipping Championship will crown a new record holder on Saturday, June 3, at the Riverside Park Dock in Polson. The event showcases finesse, touch and fun. Bring Your Own Rocks (B.Y.O.R.) to this exciting event and bound on down to Polson for skipping and laughs. Registration begins Saturday, June 3, at 9 a.m. at the Cove Deli and Pizza. Registration costs $10 each or $40 for the whole family. There are two categories per gender: 12 and under, and 13 and up. The contest begins at 10 a.m. and finishes around at 11 a.m. when awards are given and the state record is bestowed. Then it’s up to the Cove Deli and Pizza where all participants receive free pizza. St. Joe’s holds charity golf tourney
POLSON — Providence St. Joseph Medical Center’s Charity Golf Tournament is scheduled for Saturday, June 3. Registration is at 8 a.m. and shotgun start is at 9 a.m. This will be an 18- hole/four-person scramble with an entry fee of $100 per team, which includes golf/golf cart/tees/prizes and lunch.
