Class offers help for caregivers through June 7

Providence St. Joseph Medical Center is hosting the Area VI Agency on Aging’s six-week series of classes designed to help caregivers with the many physical and emotional challenges they face. Move for better balance through June
POLSON — The spring session of “Moving for Better Balance,” an adapted Tai Chi program, will begin on Tuesday, April 9. Big Arm holds community yard sale
BIG ARM — The Big Arm Association will hold a community yard sale on Saturday, June 1, from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. at our historic Big Arm School. On Saturday, June 8, we will continue our yard sale from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. with a pancake breakfast served from 8-11 a.m. Donations of items are welcomed. New exhibit begins at Sandpiper Art Gallery through June 14
POLSON — Sandpiper Art Gallery, 306 Main Street, Polson, presents until June 14, “As I Was Wandering.” This exhibit will be everything we love about Montanans and the Montana experience. This show will feature past and present member artists; Sue Arneson (Montana Watercolor Artist), Carolyn Ekland-Olson (World Wide Photography), Karla Martinson (3D Paintings & Publisher), Mary Kelley (Plein Aire and the Old Masters in Oil), Judith Wright (Mixed Media). Gallery hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday.

POLSON — Join us for the community dance at the Elks’ ballroom on Wednesday, June 5, from 7-10 p.m. Music is provided by Ken’s Country Combo playing a variety of country and vintage rock and roll. The combo includes Ken Kenmille, guitar and vocalist; Richard Tobel, lead guitar; Liz Steele on accordion and our southern singer, Betty Carter. Coffee and water provided, drinks, soft drinks are available for purchase. Everyone is welcome. No Elks membership is required. The cover charge is $5. POLSON — The Polson Chamber of Commerce luncheon will be held at the Red Lion Ridgewater Inn and Suites from noon-1 p.m. The featured speaker for this month is Bridger Mahlum of the Montana Chamber of Commerce. Republicans hear about county’s illegal activities
POLSON — The Lake County Republican Central Committee will meet on Wednesday, June 5, at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Polson Rural Fire Hall conference room.
