New exhibit begins at Sandpiper Art Gallery through June 14

Dragon movie to be shown at library

The cost is $20 per week or $150 for the full summer. The summer session is 10 weeks of fun – opportunities for discovery, learning, and activities galore. Great outdoors program created for young children
BIGFORK — Flathead Fledglings – This one hour program designed for children ages 4-7 gives kids a chance to get outside and learn about the great outdoors. This is the first in a five-part series, although participants need not attend all five. Parents are encouraged to attend with their children. The cost is $4 per child and takes place at the Wayfarers Unit – Harry Horn picnic shelter.

Montana Senior Olympic Games held in Missoula
MISSOULA — The 34th annual Montana Senior Olympic Games will be held in Missoula on June 13-15, 2019. This involves competition in 14 different sports for men and women who are 50 years of age and older as of Dec. 31, 2019. The sports include: archery, bowling, badminton, cycling, basketball, golf, horseshoes, pickle ball, race-walk, tennis, table tennis, road race, swimming and track & field. Gold, silver and bronze medals will be awarded. Space activities included in library program
POLSON — Thursday mornings at 10:30 a.m. from June 20-Aug. 8, the North Lake County Library will have space-centered children’s programming. Crafts and activities will be included with each presentation. Martin Horejsi, Associate Professor of Instructional Technology and Science Education, Solar System Ambassador for NASA, and longtime meteorite hound, will run a youth-oriented program on the Moon, Mars and Meteorites on Thursday, June 20. This presentation will be followed by a hands-on activity suitable for school-aged kids. Martin Horejsi will follow up the youth program with a second program for adults: “Meteorites: An Inconvenient Science” at 1 p.m.
