Sandpiper Gallery presents new show 6/1 through 7/11
POLSON –– The Sandpiper Gallery presents the “Sky Above Us,” a show of Sandpiper member artists Sue Arneson (paintings), Jan Brooks (beaded tapestries), Marge Hendricks (paintings), Larry Kjorvestadt (photography), Jeff Morrow (leather work), with invited artists Chelsea Lipscomb (painting/sculpture) and Kelly Price (potter/sculpture) from June 1-July 11.

Support group to help grieving adults
POLSON — Partners In Home Care and Providence St. Joseph Medical Center will host a six-week bereavement support group for adults grieving the death of a loved one. It is recommended that participants wait at least two months after a death before attending a group. This group is free and open to the public Wednesdays, June 10-July 15, from 4:30-6 p.m. at the Owens Conference room at St. Joseph Medical Center. Registration is required by June 5. Students may enter stories, poetry contest
RONAN — On June 15 students in grades 3-5 and 6-8 (fall 2015) can begin submitting short stories and/or poetry to the Short Story/Poetry Writing Contest at Ronan Library District, 203 Main Street, SW. ‘Gaslight’ takes the stage 7/1 through 7/19

Free training for cherry workers
YELLOW BAY — Rural Employment Opportunities offers free training for cherry harvest workers in the required Worker Protection Standard along with Good Agricultural Practices and Heat Stress training. The approximately one and a half hour training will begin at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, July 8, at the Yellow Bay Clubhouse, mile marker 18 on Route 35. Another training is offered on Sunday, July 12, at 3 p.m., again at the Yellow Bay Clubhouse.

NARFE to meet in Ronan
RONAN — The National Active and Retired Federal Employees, NARFE, will meet at the Ronan Cafe at noon on July 8. Lunch will be available from the menu. Learn the history of Harley Davidson
POLSON – The Miracle of America Museum will show a 73-minute documentary on the history of cycling and the evolution of this last American cycle manufacturer. A guided tour of the MOAM’s vintage Harleys will be given.
Library hosts Mowbray book discussion
