Put Halloween before Christmas please

RONAN — Here we are, not even through the month of September, and Christmas stuff is already showing up in the stores. It would be nice if they at least waited until after Halloween. We had 47 people join us for a chicken dinner last Thursday. If you weren’t there, you missed a great meal. Senior commodities are here this week. If you haven’t picked yours up yet, please do so as soon as possible, or call the COA (406) 676-2367) to make arrangements to do so. The foot clinic was supposed to be this Wednesday, but we have had to cancel it for this month, and possibly next month too. The nurse fell and broke her hip, and so far, we don’t have a replacement. ...

RONAN — Well, I did it again. I typed out the column, made a copy for myself, and forgot to hit the send button. It’s been a busy, busy summer. Thanks to all who donated to, bought from and showed up to help out at our yard sale. Not only did we have a successful yard sale (despite the rain), ...

Medicare email information incorrect

An email is circulating once again claiming that monthly Medicare Part B premiums will be $247 in 2014. This information is incorrect.  The premium is set each year calculated to pay for 25 percent of the cost of coverage, based on actual costs from the prior year. No one can predict with precision t...

RONAN — Well, the weather has cooled down and the fires are dwindling, so maybe summer won’t end up so bad after all. This Friday, Aug. 31, is our birthday dinner, and it is also Kelcey’s last day. Come on in and tell her good-bye and enjoy a great roast beef dinner with us. I am going t...

POLSON — Friday’s dinner consisted of Clara’s fish and Kaye’s banana splits. A special thanks goes to all the people who helped: Clara, Kaye, Sharon, Dee, Gabby, Wendy, and anyone else I forgot.  We had a membership drive on that day and so people renewed or got a new card for th...
