No reported damage from small quake

Residents in the southern region of Lake County may have received an earlier wake up call than expected on the morning of May 10. At 3:40 a.m. a 3.1 magnitude earthquake was released below the Mission Valley fault at the base of the mountain range four miles east of Kicking Horse reservoir. According to statistics recorded by the Montana Bureau of Mines and Geology in Butte, people reported feeling the rumble from Pablo to Arlee, and as far west as Dixon.
