RONAN – Leona L. Jackson, 65, of Ronan, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012 at St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula. She was born Dec. 9, 1946 in Lewiston, Utah to Frank (Bud) and Lois (Hendricks) Lynch and was quickly spoiled by her older brothers.  The family moved to Jefferson Island, Mont. in 1951 and after spending three harsh winters and adding another son to the family, they moved to St. Ignatius and ran a dairy farm. Leona attended school in St. Ignatius and graduated in 1964. She worked at the hospital in St. Ignatius and various other jobs in the area.
