Mission Valley Bridal Fair 2013
Approximately 250 people attended the fifth annual Mission Valley Bridal Fair Sunday, Jan. 13, at the KwaTaqNuk Resort in Polson. Sixty-one brides registered to win the drawing for a grand prize gift basket valued at more than $1,400. Sponsored by the Valley Journal, Your Homegrown Newspaper, the event connects local brides with wedding professionals to assist them with their wedding needs.

Gene Leafty and his fiancee, Gladys Olson of Ronan, were the oldest engaged couple to attend the bridal fair. Still young at heart, the couple re-enacted Gene’s Christmas Day proposal when he dropped to one knee before his sweetheart on the red carpet catwalk after the tux show. The couple has planned a May 25 wedding.
