Warriors crank it up in final week, capture 2nd in Darby

DARBY — In the final week of the regular season, the Arlee Warriors served notice to the rest of the Western B-C teams that they shouldn’t be taken lightly at the divisional tournament this weekend. The Warriors placed seven wrestlers at the Darby Invitational Tournament Saturday to finished in second place with 131 points, just edging out the Florence Falcons by a half a point and Darby by a point.  The Corvallis Blue Devils won the 10-team tournament with 182.5 points. The Warriors were able to beat the Falcons, who are heavily favored to repeat as Western B-C champions, without Logan Lefler, one of their top wrestlers. The 125-pound sophomore will compete in Dee...

Road warriors

NOXON — Even traveling 375 miles in two nights couldn’t slow down the Warriors. On a two-game road swing they had different players step up each night, to come away with a pair of victories and remain perfect on the year. In a 53-45 nonconference victory against Seeley-Swan Friday it was Kyle ...

Scarlets fall to district powerhouses

ARLEE — The Arlee Scarlets turned the ball over too many times and didn’t shoot well enough to beat the two toughest teams in District 14-C last week. In the Scarlets 46-14 loss to the Lady Vikings in Charlo Thursday and their 41-29 loss to the Savage Heat at home Saturday they turned the ball...
