Young Lady Bulldog squad loses to Lady Lions in first match

EUREKA — The inexperience of the young Lady Bulldogs showed up in a season-opening 5-1 loss to the Lady Lions. For most of the Lady Bulldogs, the match in Eureka Saturday was the first time they have ever played against another team, and they soon found that a competitve match is a far cry from practice. Jensen picked up the Lady Bulldogs’ lone win on the day, defeating Amber Brown 6-2, 6-1. Mission coach Kimimi Ashley said she isn’t sure if Jensen knows how good of a year she c...

Bulldogs come up a single game short of divisional tournament

LIBBY — The Mission Bulldogs played their best basketball of the season at the District 7-B Tournament, but it wasn’t enough to advance to the Western B Divisionals. Maybe it was the nerves of playing in their first postseason tournament in four years, maybe it was the pressure of being so clo...

THOMPSON FALLS — Against Plains it was the first quarter, against Thompson Falls it was the second quarter, but in both cases one slow quarter cost the Bulldogs a chance at a conference victory. On Friday against the Horsemen in the Doghouse, the Bulldogs fell behind 16-6 after the first quarter and...
