Maidens end regular season with loss to Lady Pirates

POLSON — The Maidens were able to score against the Lady Pirates, but couldn’t stop their fast and athletic attack in a 50-32 loss in Polson Saturday night.  The 32 points Saturday, was the Maidens’ highest offensive output since a 42-36 loss to the Lady Bulldogs in Whitefish Jan. 28. “We got some shots up and we got shots to fall,” Ronan coach Doug Fisher said. “We just executed our game plan and had some kids step up and play well ... We got better guard play and were able to move the ball around and get into our offense.” Junior Jonna Grant led the Maidens with eight points. Courtney Clairmont and Ashley Grandchamp finished with six...

Upset-minded Chiefs focus on divisionals run

It sure wasn't the way they'd hoped to close out the regular season, but the Ronan Chiefs will hope to grind on it a bit, learn from it a lot, and then forget about it.  The Chiefs worked hard but couldn't stop the juggernaut Saturday night in Polson as the Pirates ran away with an 88-50 win in Linde...
