Dear Editor,
I want to take a moment to acknowledge all of you who helped make the recent Life Savers Animal Rescue Art Chair Silent Auction fundraiser such a great success. On behalf of all the volunteers at LSAR, and all the dogs and cats we work to rescue and re-home, we are both grateful and humbled by the generosity of this community.
I want to thank all those who donated chairs, all the artists who donated their time and talent to decorate, re-purpose and create truly unique works of art, and all those who bid on and bought these wonderful chairs.
And a very special thank you to Bruce and Cherie Gerlach who donated their building in Polson to display our chairs throughout the summer; to Paula Craft at Sandpiper Gallery who found us the perfect spot at the Art Festival for the final day of bidding; to Berl Tiskus at the Valley Journal who wrote such a wonderful article highlighting the chairs and our organization; and to Marengo Carpet Cleaning, Inc. who donated their services.
