PABLO — Lake County Sheriff’s Office continues their investigation into the death of a man whose body was found Thursday in Pablo near S&K Holdings. Identified as 69-year-old Bernard F. Carlson, Whitefish, the man was discovered at approximately 4:45 p.m. Aug. 21 in a field north of U.S. Highway 93 and Light Road.

Deputies responded to a call about a body found lying next to a disabled vehicle, Lake County Undersheriff Dan Yonkin said.

The car was high centered on an embankment.

“There were no obvious signs of injury,” Yonkin said.

Authorities believe the body had been there for several days. The body was sent to the State Crime Lab to determine cause of death.

However, foul play is not suspected, according to Karen Sargeant, LCSO Public Information Officer.
