DARBY – The Warriors continued their victory run on the road Friday with a 66-22 win against Darby.

After the Tigers tied it up in the second quarter, quarterback Riley Rogers’ took charge, completing five touchdown passes with Patrick Big Sam on the receiving end for three.

Tyler Tanner and PJ Haynes also each saw the scoring grass twice.

The Warriors will host Elgin, Oregon on Oct.4.

Charlo

SUPERIOR – At Superior on Friday the Vikings continued their reign of dominating terror against their opponents, smashing the Bobcats 50-14.

With a 42 point lead going into half time, the Vikings tugged the ball of yarn away from the Bobcats long before the kitties had time to bat string, allowing only 14 points to be scored in the second half.

After injury forced Viking quarterback Michael Delaney to sit out, Trent Dennison filled the position with pure aggression completing 11 of 16 for 133 yards and five touchdown tosses.

Jade Smith ran the ball nine times for the Vikings, covering 97 yards and finding himself in the end zone for six points.

Defensively Jesse Long had his team’s back throwing down seven Bobcats and picking up a pair of interceptions.

The Vikings will play their next game at home against Flint Creek Oct. 3, which also marks Homecoming for Charlo.

Mission

DEER LODGE – Mission’s Bulldogs took a tough tumble Friday in Deer Lodge scoring 13 to the Wardens 20.

After leading going into the final quarter of play, the Wardens took over the show and sealed the deal scoring 14 and leaving the Bulldogs unable to get anything past Warden defense.

Quarterback Nick Durglo tossed a single touchdown and Steven Bravo scored on a 37-yard fumble return.

No other individual stats were reported for this game.

The Bulldogs will host Florence Oct. 4.

Polson

FRENCHTOWN – Polson’s Pirates dropped a conference contest against the Broncs in Frenchtown Friday, going home with the 21-44 loss. Though the Pirates put up a big fourth quarter it wasn’t enough to fill the deficit from the Broncs early lead, bringing Polson’s season record to 2-3.

Jacob Clairmont led the Pirates in rushing, going 101 yards on eight carries, including a 49-yarder for score. 

Quarterback Wyatt Ducharme completed five out of 14 for 46 yards while kicker Jacob Harrod was a perfect 3-3 for extra points.

The Pirates will head to Whitefish Oct. 3.

Ronan

MISSOULA – The Chiefs dropped a close one in Missoula, falling to Loyola-Sacred Heart 0-14.

Chief’s defense played a tight game throughout the first half in the Friday night romp against the Rams with both teams going scoreless before the half time horn blew. The Rams picked up a couple of scores in the final half, leaving the Chiefs with the 6B loss and taking Ronan to a 2-3 overall season record.

Despite the loss, quarterback Justin Krahn threw 242 yards going 23-40. 

The Chiefs will be back on their home field Oct. 3 for Homecoming action as they host Deer Lodge.
