ST. IGANTIUS – The Scarlets continued their streak, adding a pair of wins last week, bringing their season record to 7-1.

At Mission on Friday, the Scarlets toppled the Lady Bulldogs 49-30. After a first quarter stomp, the Scarlets created a comfortable lead then pushed through to the victory behind juniors Becca Whitesell and Morgan Malatare’s scoring power.

Whitesell picked up 13 for the Scarlets while Malatare tossed in an additional 10.

Saturday the Scarlets pulverized the Lady Red Devils in Noxon, 58-14. Arlee outscored Noxon by 10 or more in three of the four quarters; 18 in the first frame alone.

Whitesell stepped up to high-score the Scarlets with 11 and Shaylee Perry chipped in 10 while Malatare went to work under the net picking up 14 rebounds for the Scarlets.

The Scarlets will host Charlo Jan.15 and then head to Pablo to challenge another 14C foe, Two Eagle River, on Jan.16.

Charlo

SUPERIOR - The Lady Vikings continued their perfect season securing a couple more W notches to add to their 8-0 season run thus far.

Thursday the Lady Vikings rolled over the Lady Bobcats 51-37 in Superior behind sisters Shayna and Cheyenne Nagy’s double-digit performances.

Shayne netted 14 for Charlo while Cheyenne had 11. Mikaylan Roylance helped out, adding 11.

Saturday the Lady Vikings hosted Granite and sent the Lady Prospectors home with a beating after grabbing the 39-19 victory.

Shayna Nagy led the pack once again, tossing in 13 for her team.

The Lady Vikings will head to Arlee Jan. 15 to compete against the second placed Scarlets and will host Hot Springs Jan. 17.

Mission

ST. IGNATIUS – The Lady Bulldogs are in search of a boost to help lift them up to a victory after taking a couple of hits in their last week of play.

At home Friday, the Lady Bulldogs fell to Arlee, 30-49.

Mission’s Jordyn Eichert worked it out to net 10 for her team.

Saturday in Missoula, despite a seven person scoring effort, the Lady Bulldogs were overcome by Loyola-Sacred Heart’s offensive attack, resulting in the 22-64 loss.

Lady Bulldogs Irene Lopez, Emilie Charlo and Pam Anderson each scored four apiece for Mission.

Mission will host Ronan Jan. 16 and then head to Troy Jan. 17.

Ronan

RONAN – The Maidens have been steamrolling through opponents. Last week’s pair of wins was no exception as it brought their season record to 6-2 overall. 

Friday the Maidens hosted Deer Lodge — not to serve tea and biscuits, but opting to serve a beating — toppling the Lady Wardens 47-39. 

After a slow first quarter the Maidens picked up the pace, increasing points in each frame with the help of Lee Camel’s 14 and Aspen Jore’s 12.

At Troy Saturday, the Maidens showed no mercy while pulling out the rug from under the Lady Trojan’s sneakers, coming home with the 48-18 win.

Haley O’Hern led in points for the Maidens, scoring 12. Jore and Micalann McCrea added 10 apiece.

The Maidens will host Plains Jan. 15 and then travel to Mission Jan.16.

Two Eagle River

ST. REGIS – The Lady Eagles have found themselves in a bit of a struggle trying to reclaim the dominance shown before the winter break. Last week they dropped a pair of games, bringing them to an even 500 with a 4-4 win-loss record.

Friday at St. Regis the Lady Eagles tumbled in a 14-C showdown against the Lady Tigers, falling 27-65 in the contest.

Lady Eagle Misty Mendoza led Two Eagle River in scoring with 13.

At home Saturday, the Lady Eagles toughed out a loss against Superior. After falling behind in the first half the Lady Eagles upped their game in the second but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Lady Bobcats in the 47-66 loss.

Despite the fall, Lady Eagle Casadi Wunderlich high-scored both teams, netting 22.

The Lady Eagles will host Arlee Jan. 16 and take to the road Jan.17 to take on Valley Christian in Missoula.
