POLSON — “Consider yourself at home, consider yourself one of the family” are lyrics from a song by the same name in the musical “Oliver,” sung by Polson High School music students .

That’s exactly what Polson High School kids wanted their audience to do as they sang and strutted their stuff on stage on Feb 24.

Four PHS choirs — mixed choir, select choir, concert choir and Connection — sang 22 tunes from 13 musicals.

Amber Clarke sang a duet from “Oklahoma” with Walter Wood. Clarke, an alto, said her favorite of all the songs is the “Lion King” medley.

Costumes varied from animal print headbands and pareos to tuxedos for “New York, New York.”

Dawn Matt, PHS choir teacher, directed the students. They were accompanied on the piano by Matt and Heather Mergenthaler.
