Mission Bulldog tennis didn’t fall for any Trojan tricks in Troy on Friday, coming away with the 4-2 team victory.
Bulldog Andrew Esslinger defeated Ben Haggerty (6-3, 6-1) while Nathan Doll easily swept AJ Faur 6-0, 6-0. Continuing their winning ways, Bulldog Dominik Stallings battled Troy’s Brylee Freund through three sets, earning the victory in the 6-1, 5-7, 6-3 match.
Doubles team Jamie Mullins/Steven Bravo also found themselves in a challenging match against Troy’s C. Helmrick/CJ Beard, but pulled out the match win after a close loss in the second set.
Brooklinn Hunt was the lone representative for the Lady Bulldogs, but was overpowered by Lady Trojan Allie Brown.
At the Libby Tournament on Saturday, the number-one doubles team of Jamie Mullins/Steven Bravo earned second place, winning two sets and losing only to Bigfork’s I. Martel and A. Jordt.
