On behalf of the entire Beautification Committee/ Envision Polson I wish to extend our appreciation for the outpouring of community effort in support of the recent cleanup weekend.
This was the most successful cleanup to date, with participation from more individuals, groups and businesses than we have ever seen. Students from all of the public schools were involved as well and we thank the administrators, teachers and club advisors who provided guidance and support.
The interest and enthusiasm exhibited by all participants was outstanding, resulting in very visible results around town and on surrounding roadways.
We specifically thank Mr. Max Bauer of Republic Services for providing a dumpster for this event. We are grateful to Cheryl and Edgar Maldonado and Black Mountain Software for their generous donations used to purchase the new cleanup banner that was hung across Highway 93.
We also acknowledge and thank the individuals and service groups who are helping maintain the corner bump outs on Main Street.
Please remember: we can all work together 365 days a year to make Polson beautiful and show everyone that we take pride in our community. Pulling a few weeds or picking up trash can make a huge difference if we all pitch in and help.
