ARLEE — July was filled with such a variety of activities it was sometimes difficult to decide which one to attend. It’s the month when out-of-state folks show up to enjoy the Big Sky Country and attend family gatherings and class reunions. Sharlene Samsel Ewald and husband Ken came from Texas to visit brother Bill and Shar’s old classmates. Lilie Willison and Anne Stewart enjoyed out-of-state visitors.
Jane B. from LCCOA was here for her regular third Monday of the month foot care visit, from 10:30 a.m.-noon. She will be here again on Aug. 17 if you could use some assistance with trimming those toenails. Call 406-726-3718 or 406-726-3213 to sign up. Free blood pressure checks are offered. Drop-ins are welcome.
Lunches are served at noon every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. An evening meal is served at 6 p.m. on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month.
Take-out meals are available and can be delivered to qualified seniors.
We play bingo after the Saturday evening meal if enough people are interested.
Menus for the first half of August are:
— Monday, Aug. 3: meatballs with gravy and potatoes, birthday cake and ice cream
— Wednesday, Aug. 5: fish filets, salad, peach cobbler
— Friday, Aug. 7: taco salad, yogurt parfait
— Saturday, Aug. 8: pork roast, salad, melons, cupcakes
— Monday, Aug. 10: pulled pork, salad, fruit, cake
— Wednesday, Aug. 12: cowboy beans, cornbread, jello, fruit dessert
— Friday, Aug. 14: fried chicken, veggie, fruit, Rice Krispy bars
