Justice of the Peace Randal L. Owens dealt with the following cases Aug. 21-27:
The following individuals were found guilty of speeding: Eli Michael Swain, 24, fined $40; Mildred Mary Whittaker, 60, fined $20; Lisa Ann Finan, 34, fined $55; William Colvin Floyd, 28, fined $65; Daniel W. Constenius, 33, fined $55; Judith R. Kesler, 69, fined $40; Edward Walter Starkel, 51, fined $40.
Joseph M. Walsh, 52, pleaded not guilty to reckless driving, first offense. He was found guilty and fined $250, $35 in court costs and sentenced to 90 days in jail with 89 days suspended and credit for 1 day served.
Travis Harold Dumont, 23, pleaded not guilty to careless driving. He was found guilty and fined $85.
Justin Allen Anderson, 30, pleaded not guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol, second offense. He was found guilty and fined $1,200, $85 in court costs and sentenced to 365 days in jail with 358 days suspended.
Tiffany Nicole Zimmerer, 30, pleaded not guilty to failing to give notice of accident by quickest means/apparent damage over $1,000. She was found guilty and fined $150, $35 in court costs. Zimmerer also pleaded not guilty to operating without liability insurance in effect, first offense. She was found guilty and fined $250 and $35 in court costs.
Linda Jo Mitchell, 51, pleaded not guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol, first offense. She was found guilty and fined $400, $85 in court costs and sentenced to 180 days in jail with 179 days suspended. Mitchell also pleaded not guilty to driving without a valid drivers license. She was found guilty.
Anthony Bossy, 37, pleaded not guilty to driving without a valid drivers license. He was found guilty and fined $100 and $35 in court costs.
Jaret Raymond Freeman, 24, pleaded guilty to unlawful possession of open alcoholic beverage container in motor vehicle on highway. He was fined $75. Freeman also pleaded guilty to unlawful transactions with children, first violation. He was fined $100 and $85 in court costs.
Travis William Adams, 29, forfeited a $25 bond and $35 in court costs for failing to have vehicle equipped with mud flaps/fenders/splash aprons, as required. Adams also forfeited a $20 bond for seatbelt violation.
Brian P. Herron, 55, forfeited an $85 bond for improper passing, in a no passing zone.
Eric Rene Woodring, 52, forfeited a $125 fine and $35 in court costs for exceeding 34,000 pounds tandem axle weight limit.
Jed Wantaja, 18, forfeited a $20 fine for seatbelt violation.
