ARLEE – September looks to be a busy month. Let’s all hope there will be some rain soon, as well, to put out all the fires and bring back fresh, clean air.

The Arlee Senior Center board of directors’ monthly meeting will be on Sept. 2, at 10:30 a.m. and all members and friends are welcome to attend. We are in need of one or two more board of director members. Please consider volunteering. If it takes a village to raise a child, it also takes community participation to run a senior center. The Blackfoot Telephone Company will give two free computer-use classes on Sept. 10 at the Arlee Senior Center. PC fundamentals will be taught from 8:30 a.m.-noon and PC Essentials will be taught from l:30-4:30 p.m. Please sign up with Blackfoot Telephone at 406-541-5000 or go to www.blackfoot.net/easyaccess. Space is limited so register soon.

Our foot care lady, Jane B., will be in Arlee on Sept. 30 at 10:30 a.m.-noon. This is a one-time change of date. In October she’ll return to the regular schedule of the third Monday of each month.

The center has two nice white upholstered side chairs for sale for a reasonable price or you can make an offer.

Lunches are served at noon every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.  An evening meal is served at 6 p.m. on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month.

Menus for September:

—  Wednesday, Sept 2: hot pork sandwich, (potatoes and gravy), fruit/jello

— Friday, Sept 4: pork chops, potatoes and gravy, green beans, applesauce, cake

— Monday, Sept 7: Labor Day - center closed. Everybody has the day off.

—  Wednesday, Sept 9: fried chicken, P&G, fruit salad, sliced tomatoes, cookies.
