Justice of the Peace Randal L. Owens dealt with the following cases April 28-May 6:
Joey Michael Wayland, 39, forfeited a $350 fine and $35 in court costs for failing to carry proof or exhibit insurance in vehicle, owner or operator, first offense. Wayland also forfeited a $50 bond and $35 in court costs for operating a vehicle, which has not been properly registered.
Paula M, Barrows, 42, pleaded not guilty to driving under the influence, first offense. She was found guilty and fined $1,000 with $400 suspended and charged $85 in court costs. She was sentenced to 180 days in jail with 179 days suspended and credited for five days. Barrows also pleaded not guilty to operating without liability insurance in effect, third or subsequent offense, She was found guilty and fined $500, with $100 suspended, and was charged $35 in court costs. She was sentenced to 180 days in jail with 179 days suspended and credited for 5 days.
Tyler Preston Henifin, 17, pleaded guilty to driving a motor vehicle while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked. He was fined $250 and $35 in court costs.
Zeb Marvin Barber, 31, pleaded not guilty to driving without a valid driver’s license. He was fined $100, $35 in court costs and sentenced to 180 days in jail with 180 days suspended.
Parwinderjeet Singh Brar, 29, pleaded guilty to operating a commercial motor vehicle without a commercial driver’s license, first offense. He was fined $200 and $35 in court costs.
The following individuals were found guilty of speeding: Thomas Joseph Wallace, 22, fined $70; Charles Jerome Gilson Jr., 57, fined $65; Brenda Galts Wilkins, 52, fined $20; Tina Marie Bean, 56, fined $55; Melanie A. Gassaway, 18, fined $85; Kamiah K. Payne, 19, fined $40; Kayla Lyn Fowler, 26, fined $95; William A. Kimmet, 49, fined $85; Patricia Kaphammer Dellwo, 52, fined $85; Donald Leland Lamar, 30, fined $20; Faye Marie Martinez, 30, fined $70; Julie Ann Wulf, 66, fined $55; John Michael Walters, 66, fined $20; Nation I. Garza, 23, fined $65.
Bridger Louis Smith, 17, forfeited a $50 bond and was charged $35 in court costs for careless driving.
Laura Lee Coates, 50, pleaded guilty to failing to give notice of accident by quickest means, apparent damage over $1000, first offense. She was fined $200 and $35 in court costs.
Micaela Rose Lachance, 33, forfeited a $50 bond and $35 in court costs operating with expired registration, failure to reregister. She was fined $50 and $35 in court costs.
Shane Douglas Morgeau, 19, forfeited a $20 bond for seatbelt violation.
