POLSON —  A married couple denies charges associated with killing a man in Arlee and burying him in their trailer shower under articles of clothing and furniture.

Stephen Seese is charged with deliberate homicide, a felony, and he pleaded not guilty on Wednesday in Lake County District Court in front of Judge James Manley. Kassandra Seese pleaded not guilty to accountability associated with deliberate homicide, a felony, earlier in the week.

On June 2, the body of Richard Warner, 18, was found in a trailer at 73398 Coombs Lane where the couple once lived. It was reported that Warner, the victim, is Stephen’s nephew.

The victim was discovered by two people attempting to move the trailer when they noticed the smell of decaying flesh, according to court documents. Detectives interviewed Stephen Seese in Idaho where he was incarcerated.

Kassandra Seese was visiting relatives in Idaho, and she was also interviewed. She allegedly admitted to being present around Feb. 17, along with her two children, when Stephen Seese repeatedly struck the victim in the head with a hammer for lying. Once they realized the victim was dead, they allegedly placed him in the shower. Stephen Seese’s jury trial is set to begin Nov. 14. There is a possibility that the couple could be tried together, according to Judge Manley.
