Editor,
As Fire Management Officer of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes Division of Fire, we would like to express our appreciation to following agencies for their timely and courageous response to the Ravalli Hill 2 Fire June 30: St. Ignatius Volunteer Fire Department, Arlee VFD, Charlo VFD, Ronan VFD, Lake County Dispatch, Lake County Office of Emergency Management 15, Lake County Sheriff’s Department and CSKT Tribal Police.
The selfless dedication and bravery demonstrated by these individuals reminds us how lucky we are to reside in Western Montana. The CSKT Division of Fire would like to remind the public that there is no open burning and to be cautious when recreating on the Flathead Indian Reservation. Join the fight against wildland fire and remember, “One Less Spark is One Less Wildfire.”
