Editor,

The State of Montana has the choice of Denise Juneau or Ryan Zinke for our next U.S. Congressperson. Who will you vote for? Consider the following. Ryan Zinke just told Donald Trump he would like to be his Vice-Presidential running mate, so Ryan already wants to leave Montana’s citizens.

Ryan Zinke supported repeal of the Indian Health Care Improvement Act. Ryan Zinke decried Indian dependence on government services. Ryan Zinke voted to cut food stamp benefits. Ryan Zinke worked with the known hate group Pro English to co-sponsor an English-only bill, HR 997.

Denise Juneau worked with American Indians. Denise Juneau decreased the American Indian dropout rate by one-third and raised the graduation rate among all students to the highest in Montana history. Denise Juneau advocated programs to increase cultural education and preservation programs. Denise Juneau developed “the best program the country currently has for turning around native schools” according to The Nation.

You decide. Who has Montana’s heart and soul at the center of their campaign? I think the answer is clear: Denise Juneau.
