Judge James A. Manley sentenced the following people Wednesday, Aug. 24:

Jasmin D. Shourds, 38, Ronan, had her amended sentence of criminal possession of dangerous drugs deferred for two years. The court acknowledged the positive steps toward rehabilitation that Shourds has taken since charges were filed.

“I want to apologize to my family and the community and to myself,” Shourds said at sentencing. “I am pretty ashamed and humiliated. Hopefully after time goes by I’ll be able to walk and hold my head up high again.”

Judge Manley said the court hopes so, too.

According to court documents, on June 4, 2015, Shourds sold $20 of methamphetamine to a confidential informant.

Judge Manley sentenced the following people Wednesday, Aug. 17:

Dana Lynn Comesatnight, 34, Polson, had his sentence for criminal possession of dangerous drugs deferred for three years.

According to court documents, Comesatnight had methamphetamine in his possession during a traffic stop on April 3, 2014.

Elisha Matthew Webb, 26, Ronan, had his sentence for criminal possession of dangerous drugs deferred for three years.

According to court documents, on Feb. 12 Webb purchased meth while at a casino in Polson.

Lenae Nicole Peasley, unknown age/residence, in a change of plea admitted committing two counts of the amended charge of misdemeanor theft. She was sentenced to six months in Lake County Jail, all suspended, except one day, on each count for a total of 12 months. Peasley was also ordered to pay $2,400 in restitution.

According to court documents, on May 14, 2015, a male reported that a motorcycle and an ATV were stolen from his Charlo property. Later, another male in Deer Lodge reported that he had purchased the ATV from Peasley, who did not have a bill of sale. The motorcycle was found on Peasley’s property.

Judge Deborah Kim Christopher sentenced the following people Thursday, Aug. 25:

Lucy Tianna Parker, 24, Ronan, had her sentence for criminal possession of dangerous drugs deferred for three years and was credited for time served. Judge Christopher noted Parker’s history, which included losing two children due to her addiction, and told her any time served wouldn’t compare to what Parker has already lived through. Christopher had emotional words for Parker, who teared up during the sentencing. “I’ve got all the marbles in my hand; you’ve got none … If there’s a shot at all (at rehabilitation), I’d like to see it happen,” Christopher said. “I see you care about others; you need to care about you.”

According to court documents, Parker had methamphetamine in her possession on April 2, 2015.

Nico N. Read, 24, St. Ignatius, had his sentence for criminal possession of dangerous drugs deferred for two years. He was sentenced to 32 days in Lake County Jail and credited for the 32 days he already served in jail. He was not credited for time spent in a treatment facility because he did not successfully complete treatment.

According to court documents, Read had a baggie of meth in his backpack July 3, 2015 in St. Ignatius.

Judge Christopher sentenced the following people Thursday, Aug. 18:

Samuel Ross Bixby, 20, Ronan, was sentenced to Montana State Prison for four years, with two years suspended, for sexual assault, a felony. Bixby was credited for one day served. He is designated a Level 1 sexual offender and will not be offered parole until he successfully completes two phases of the sex offender treatment program in prison. He was also ordered to attend an alcohol treatment program and a parenting class.

According to court documents, on Jan. 25, 2014, Bixby touched an 8-yearold girl while he was babysitting.

George Moore, 61, Ronan, after having his suspended sentence for felony driving under the influence of alcohol revoked, was sentenced to the Department of Corrections for five years. He was credited for 49 days served on the revocation.

Austin Trey Fisher, 20, Polson, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, first offense, a misdemeanor. He was sentenced to Lake County Jail for six months, all suspended except 24 hours already served.

Jessica Lynn Oldperson, 27, Arlee, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, first offense, a misdemeanor. She was sentenced to one year in Lake County Jail, all suspended.

Aaron Todd Williams, 31, Ronan, was sentenced to the Department of Corrections for five years, with none of the time suspended, for partner/family member assault, a felony. For violating a court order of protection, a felony, he was sentenced to DOC for two years, all suspended, and ordered to have no contact with the victim. One count of burglary was dismissed.

According to court documents, Williams broke into the victim’s home in Ronan, broke into the room where she was with her children, and tased her with her own personal taser. The order of protection stated Williams was not to be within 1,000 feet of the victim. Williams has two prior convictions for violating an order of protection.
