Justice of the Peace Randal L. Owens dealt with the following cases Oct. 7-13:
Kenneth Gainan, 56, pleaded guilty to negligent endangerment (substantial risk-death/serious bodily injury). He was fined $200, charged $85 in court costs and sentenced to 12 months in jail with 12 months suspended.
Luca George Belarde, 40, pleaded guilty to driving without a valid driver’s license, second offense. He was fined $500 with $250 suspended, charged $35 in court costs, and sentenced to 2 days in jail with 2 days suspended. Belarde also failed to carry proof or exhibit insurance in vehicle, owner or operator, first offense. He fined $500 with $250 suspended and charged $35 in court costs. Belarde also pleaded guilty to operating a vehicle, which has not been property registered. He was fined $50 and charged $35 in court costs. Belarde also pleaded guilty to criminal possession of drug paraphernalia. He was fined $500 with $400 suspended and charged $85 in court cost.
Damien Armando Talamantes, 39, pleaded not guilty to the amended charge of driving without a valid driver’s license. He was found guilty and charged $35 in court costs and sentenced to 6 months in jail with 6 months suspended.
The following individuals were found guilty of seatbelt violation and fined $20: Matthew Cory Robocker, 20; Daniel Chance Blixt, 27; George Archie Dickerson Jr., 67; Kara Rachelle Cross, 23; Edwin Leslie Maughan, 67.
Clinton Wade Romney, 48, forfeited a $50 fine and $35 court costs for insufficient personal flotation devices.
Kendal John Dunkerson, 26, forfeited a $20 fine for seatbelt violation. Dunkerson was also charged with failing to have child under 6 years old and less than 60 pounds properly restrained.
William Hopkins Rinkenback III, 32, pleaded guilty to driving a motor vehicle while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked. He was fined $250, charged $35 in court costs and sentenced to 30 days in jail with 28 days suspended.
Tyson Tyler MorningChild, 29, pleaded guilty to driving without a valid driver’s license. He was fined $250 and charged $35 in court costs.
Gary Alan Granley, 72, pleaded guilt to operating without liability insurance in effect, first offense. He was fined $250 and charged $35 in court costs. Granley also pleaded guilty to seatbelt violation and was fined $20.
David Boyed VanBouchaute, 31, pleaded guilty to operating without liability insurance in effect, third or subsequent offense. He was fined $500, charged $35 in court costs, and sentenced to 180 days in jail with 170 days suspended. VanBouchaute also pleaded guilty to driving a motor vehicle while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked. VanBouchaute also pleaded guilty to displaying license plates assigned to another vehicle. He was fined $100 and charged $35 in court costs. VanBouchaute also pleaded guilty to seatbelt violation and was fined $20.
Nonna Alphonsine Anderson, 59, forfeited a $50 fine and $35 in court costs for improper passing, in no-passing zone.
Diana Lynn Denessen, 50, forfeited a $50 fine and $35 in court costs for operating with expired registration, failure to reregister.
