MISSOULA — The Lady Pirates earned bronze in the consolation bracket as they joined 15 other teams Thursday and Friday at the Missoula Invitational Volleyball Tournament.

Thursday’s Pool Play determined bracketing on Friday, with eight teams seeded in the championship bracket and eight teams in the consolation bracket, depending on Thursday’s record.

The Lady Pirates lost their first game to Whitefish in the consolation round before winning three straight matches by defeating Frenchtown, Great Falls CMR, and Libby to finish third in their bracket.

Charlo/Arlee

Charlo made quick work of Arlee on Thursday night, winning in three games. Kaitlin Cox dominated the serving line with eight aces. Cheyenne Nagy had 12 kills and Allie Delaney had 25 digs. Teaira Truman set an impressive game with 19 of Charlo’s 22 assists on the night. Charlo will compete in the district tournament this weekend, times to be announced.
